應否在甲部只填首志願而將第二及第三志願漏空...而在乙部裡依然填上我心儀的小學作首志願..而隨後的第2 ...

If you only have one target school, you should do it. Put this school at 1st choice in both Part A & Part B and leave the 2nd & 3rd choice blank in Part A. You must fill all the choice in Part B, otherwise your kid will be assigned to somewhere you don't expected in the worest case.

However, you will lose the chance on the 1st choice in Part B in case you get success at 2nd or 3rd choice in part A.

The true is.....if your 2nd and 3rd choice is a popular school, you are impossible to have a seat. if your 2nd and 3rd choice is not a popular school, you can easy to have a seat but you will have no chance to play the game in part B. Will you take this risk? that's why the people said blank the 2nd and 3rd choice in part A.
