That's exactly what I put in my son's portfolio. Photos of the whole family going hiking, cycling, playing football and volunteer work such as visiting the aged. Of course I inserted a few photos of him playing the piano and taking part in a swimming competition.

But I do believe the schools do appreciate that despite I work, I spend a lot of my time with my son and being his teacher. Afterall, mothers are the best teachers.
