My daughter is the same as your son.
She is over 14 months old, but she is very silent. She gives only occasional "dada" "arar" sound. When she wants something, she only point to things and give some "ee-aa" sound. She is not even giving and "ma" or "mum" sound yet!
But she likes to play with adult/small children. Eye contact reasonable. Seems to understand simple commands.
She does not seem to easily copy what we show her. She knows how to shake her head for "no"; but does not know how to nod her head for "yes"...
I am very worried about her language development too. She is real slow for saying even simple words...
