Are you talking about DBS (secondary school) or DBSPD ( primary school)?
I'm a bit confused. Even if the school admits so call "英文超班" students at the P1 intake, if the school cannot provide a good environment for English learning,how can the students enhance their English abilities in the whole primary education?
DBS old boys spoke fluent English because most of the teachers were foreigners and many students were native English speakers in those days. It provided a good environment for learning English. However, how can the boys speak fluent English if they speak only Cantonese in their daily life?
More important,if most of their English teachers are local Chinese who just can speak fair English,and those teach other subjects in English but do not have a good command of English,how can the boys learn good English.
