昨天剛剛完成註冊,見到Ms Tong ,佢話pn一班24人,雙班主任制,另外會有一個老師幫手,所以如果以小組形式,即師生比例是1:8.佢仲話上學期以廣東話和Eng 下学期就加埋普通話.

How many PN students finally chose to continue their study in K1 at Vict (HG) last year?  Anyone knows?

Hi bbeasy 25,

So, it's sometimes not easy to predict/know how our child would perform at school.

Mine also did some good pieces of artwork as "suggested" by his teachers.

It is interesting to know that my child has never done that sort of thing (art painting) at home.  

However, so far (almost 1 week from the day of the release of the report), I could not quite agree with what the class teacher "thinks" about my child.

Anyway, thanks for all of your sharing.

BTW, have you planned to further your child's studies (K1) in this school?

What is exactly the classroom teaching like in K1?

Would students have their English lesson for 30 minutes every day and for the rest of the time, the medium of instruction (Language of teaching music, dancing, PE lesson) is Chinese, even the students have a native English class teacher helping students in their activities?

Please share what you've already known. Thanks.

Child may perform different at school. My son 發脾氣 at home if he can do what want to do, but teacher told me that he has no 發脾氣 in school.  Therefore, just take it easy on the report.

However, you can find out the performance of child from the photos and description wrote by teacher.  I surprise that my son can draw fruits like apple & orange in school since he can't do it at home.

You are right. Communication is very important.

More importantly, a "two-way" communication and understanding is more effective in helping a child's develpment, rather than insisting on one's own perspective or making biased views or judgment.

Are there any pre-nursery students here who got "W" in all areas of assessment?

Congratulations to these children!!!

These children must be very smart!!! This must be due to the hardwork of moms!!!

For my case, the report is fair and nothing special......
I suggest you to call her class teacher and tell her which points your kid can do at home and request her to encourge your kid to do it at school. It's work as I did it before. Communication is very important.

Nevertheless, my child could be "fully" able to show her abilities at home and in other learning areas such as playgroup activities held by other education institutes.

What is actually the matter?

Is my child being too shy at HG and therefore teachers concerned could not "discover" her abilities and strengths?

Can anyone share your feelings about the report?

Since my mother live in Tai Kok Tsui and she can take care my son and I think this school can provide better language environment for my son.  However, I may change school in K1, still thinking

Hi Melaniec : Thank you so much for your info. I just called them, they said i can submit the application end of this year if i want to enroll my baby to PN class for Yr 2011.

in Sham Tseng, expect PIPS, no 'languages emphasis' kinder. I love Vic's environment and it accepts bb 1 yr 8 months for PN class, mine is Nov07 bb.

headmistress will meet parents but not so called 'interview', only sharing 'how you nuture your kid', maybe impressive answer would help your kid get a seat.
