Hi WWBaby,

1)我會看我的小朋友將會在哪間讀書(N1, K1~K3).
2)如果純粹參加Playgroup嘅話, 我會考慮...
a)交通:如距離屋企好遠或搭車(又要轉車)好麻煩的話,我選擇方便哪個,
b)上課時間:我會留意上午或下午,是否會影響小孩午睡;是閒日或假期,盡可能可以跟她一起上,至於有什麼好處,唔洗我講啦!
c)金錢:看看哪間是值得的价錢,
d)千萬不要依賴姐姐(傭人),我見過無數父母,點解他們的孩子總是不太聽話,歸根究底都是敗於傭人手上.我亦聽過無數家長/我口中的他們~常常稱讚我的小兒點解咁安定和專心,其實,他們的小孩也能夠做到,只是大人的懶惰而造成小孩的奀皮.
e)這樣,豈不是小孩無得著,而又浪費了金錢.最慘的是,家長付出一大堆金錢后,以為他們的小孩就會得嘛!

Is your child studying at both?
cos I would also like to know.
if
1. Location are similar in distance
2. Victoria is cheaper by $300/mth
3. pg hr is similar. Victoria 2 hr vs Tutor time 1.5hr
4. haven't decide which kindergarden will go. but probably won't go to both of them. just want he kid to learn more eng/PTW.. interact w/ other kids

其實都幾主觀, 因為每個家長同小朋友喜歡既野都唔同, 最好都係你返過之後自行作出決定.

我女兩間都返過, 我女同埋我比較喜歡Tutor time, 所以一直返到宜家.維記就返左兩個月就退學了.

Tutor time同維記最大分別係, tutor time 係英普, 維記係英粵.

No, 我兩間也沒有返过.

最初,我都好似同妳一樣, 但后來就知道行唔通 (因為兩間和我家有一段距離),而返playgroup最主要的目的,只要想我和我的小孩能夠舒舒服服,開開心心,但又能夠學到d野而已.

其實, 妳也只是讀playgroup (課程好自由&彈性),不妨兩間都試下, 可能遲d就知道邊間好些呢? Right?:loveliness:

To share my experience. Before, we studied TT for Sat class. And then we switched to Victoria for playgroup and then PN. Simple reason: Victoria can go straight from PN to K1-K3 & Victoria playgroup can have priority to go to PN. Victoria PN gives you more option to explore which curriculum you want to go for in the future (traditional or international). For TT 99% you (most parents from history)will go for international stream. Also for Victoria, you 2nd child can go in without much difficulty.

But may I ask if all parents intend to let the baby 'learn' something at the playgroup stage?

How to expect a baby at less than 24-mth to 'learn'?

There are lots of time for the child(ren) to learn. One could even 'learn' at the age of 80.

Why not precious the time for accompanying your baby to the playgroup? Your child(ren) will 'learn' him/herself!

Parents: Please precious the time with your child(ren). Time flies await no one! You will regret not accompanying your child(ren) to play when he/she is still young or perhaps still at the baby-stage.

Studying at Victoria playgroup won't guarantee you a seat for Victoria PN (though the chance is better).  My cousin's son was studying at Victoria playgroup but he was not accepted by Victoria PN.

Based on my experience (1 year ago), I think studying at Victoria playgroup do give you a better chance to PN (likely PM class as AM class will likely to those with some kind of connection).......however, the quality of the playgroup is not good at all.  Many of the parents in my class were disatisfied but most did stay in the hope of higher chance of securing a PN seat (but I finally gave up the PN offer).  Going to Victoria playgroup is like an investment, but I have the feeling of wasting the time.  If talking about playgroup (when compared to the outside playgroups), not worth the price and the children do not learn much other than giving them an opportunity to see the existence of other children of similar age and assiciate with them.

(The above is my personal impression only.  Others may have different feeling. )

my daughter is going to TT wow playgroup now, compare to other not Victoria, TT is much better, she can understand most of the English and Madarin.

Also, she have much more disclipine right now. just say asked her to clean up, she will help too!

Apart from these two playgroups.  Could anyone please advise whether there are other good playgroups.  As I try to check with Tutor Time and they said all the infant classes were full already!  Thank you!

講得好啱, 我女就係你所講敗在工人手上, 因佢始終對工人多個我哋.  其實, 我哋一放工都會比晒d時間陪佢, 但軟硬用晒, 都搞唔掂, 好想請教, 你所講"大人的懶惰", 即係點?

另, 我都幫仔仔排緊victoria pg, 但好似對入佢哋pn係無關嘅?

Maybe you can try Yew Chung, we have a TT classmate transfer to Yew Chung Playgroup too.

My daughter is going to TT wow since she's 1 year old, and she's now 19 months.

we're attending tues and thurs 9 - 10:30 am right now.
