Dear Whitepine,

I think many parents like us are lucky to have LMC and other schools' offers, and some of us should give up the offers eventually. Therefore, your kid may still have chance to enter LMC.
However, it would be better to take it easy and try to appy for more suitable primary schools to provide more chances to your kid.

We applied for
10 DSS and 5 Private.
Our current results are
4 offers:
1 registered, 1 give up, 2 taken into consideration
6 Rejected:
3 Seems to be rejected (i.e. still not be informed for 2nd interviews and some other kids have offers already)
1 2nd interview arrangement (in Nov/Dec)
1 1st interview arrangement (in Dec)

We talked to our kid that he only go to interview just like attend playgroup. We did ask him about the interviews but would not give any pressure to him.  We trust our kid should be smart, but there should be many different factors affecting the school giving or not giving offers to him. We think just like we applying for job. Therefore, it would be better to allow us to be more relax in facing the final result. We think parents should want to prepare the best eductaion path/school to their kids. However, if the final result is not satisfied, please don't be unhappy. Juts like most of us (parents), we was not entering the so-called famous school, we also perform very well in both academic and future career. Your Love(Parents' love, +ve or right one) must be the most important factor to lead your kid into his/her future success.  Please forgive me if my word is not good. Please feel free to give positive comments and encouragements to us (BK parents). Thanks.

Dear Whitepine,

GT may be our 1st choice.
We did give up TKO PLK LHT (DDS) in past.
We don't want to hold up the offer in order that some other parents can get offer in an earlier stage.

We may also give up offer from 聖三一 as cost, ENG and PTH supports, secondary school availability, etc are similar to GT, but GT seems to have good track record in academic results (Overseas public exam, PISA, etc). We cannot get the track records for 聖三一. If any parent can provide it, it should be useful for us.

Now, LMC seems also to be attractive.
Low school fee, good secondary school net, 3rd language teaching, good/nice teachers/principal, etc.

GT also have good/nice teachers/principal and also provide experienced/good supports for gifted kids. Have GT seondary school; outside secondary school net seems not to be very good.
No 3rd language teaching. School fee will be double/triple to that for LMC.

GT parents are very nice/polite and love to share experience to others.

At this moment, we may not consider to give up LMC offer.

Besides, do any BK parents know how to request creating LMC entry in Primary School Discussion Forum(just like other schools)? Thanks.

不過校車都係一個問題,唔知有幾多同學住沙田及馬鞍山.....

Yes, we did participate 14 interviews for 2010 P1 admission in past.

We also agree that 優材係好學校. Besides, we also think all applied schools are good. Otherwise, we will not apply for P1 admission. GT MK is for G1-G3, TKO is for G4-G12. Your question for 精英班 is checking with current GT parents.

Basically, school fee may not be the critical factor for our consideration. We just think if there is any cost saving from paying the school fee, we can spend for others that may be further benefit to our kid (e.g. music instrument practice, sport/swimming/golf practice, etc.).
