Yes, my friend also studied in Good Hope Primary in the past, says it is very harsh, she actually had some heart sink feeling with it because it make her feel diff for few years. Luckily her parents sent her to study aboard later, she feel much better, and now she is a very good professional.

有劍橋試就代表英文一定好嗎? 答案是NO.

首先讓我們了解劍橋試的作用是甚麼. 這是用來測試學生的英語水平.一些家長想了解自己子女的英文水平達至甚麼程度,便為他們子女報這個試. 而以它的成績作為借鏡。然後作出適當跟進. 這個試本來專為小學生而設的, 後來最低報考年齡由六歲放寬至五歲後，便吸引了一些幼稚園高班的學生參加考試.

很明顯這個試是一個測試, 但有些學校以培訓學生考好這個試為目的. 學習有些本末倒置, 過份考試主導. 使學生為考試而讀書. 將考試的壓力提早到五,六歲的兒童是否適當, 留待家長們去思考了.

英國文化協會發言人指出她不鼓勵家長為子女安排過於密集的考試，因為劍橋試的目的在於評估小孩子的英語水平，若他們多次無法獲得預期中的好成績，只會令他們心存嚴重的挫敗感，影響學習興趣。

為學生報考這個試及培訓他們參加這個試, 我覺得只是一個綽頭. 一般學校的英語課程, 其實已足夠. 君不見香港有這麼多出色的幼稚園, 有幾間會為學生報這課程呢? 是否它們的英文不好嗎?  不考這個試學不好英文嗎? 你們認為呢?

York有劍橋試, 英文程度好喎

我絕對同意gh同其他兩間真係唔同級數. 齋講邊間好係冇用嘅, 要拿出證據來.
第一:校舍不用說gh贏哂.
第二:gh辦學態度認真, 有天主教背景,係非牟利團體辦嘅, 大家都知修女辦學素來認真, 值得信賴.
第三:絕不會巧立名目搵水.純粹為教育及拯救人的靈魂而教育.
第四:起碼有自已小學及中學.直升機會大.
第五:中, 小學方面,傳統英文甚強.
第六: 學生知書識禮, 很有氣質.
第七:在音樂, 體育和學業方面均有強勢, 和dg 同hy可謂鼎足而三.

不知其他兩間,有甚麼會比gh優勝, 如有請分享.

人各有志,各有所需!各有各好,亦要配合小朋友嘅性格,不過若覺得収了你小朋友的學校不是你杯茶的話,讓給其她小朋友也是一件好事,沒有一定的答案!

Of course Good Hope is much much .....better.

York and Kowloon Cannan - easy to be accepted and many give up their seats.

But mind you, as parents, you have to pay extra effort and time to study in Good Hope Primary.  It is of high standard.

Would you please show me how can I get the HKCEE official report of GH's performance?  I would like to learn more about the performance of the students of GH in HKCEE.
By the way, the Comprehensive Review Report was done by the Quality Assurance Division of Education Bureau not by Good Hope.

The following is quoted from the Comprehensive Review Report of Good Hope School published by the Education Bureau in May 2009 concerning the student performance: "In the past three years, the percentages of students with 14 or more points in the best six subjects in the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE) were well above the territory levels. 我相信很多父母選擇GH 是因為one dragon link， I cannot say GH is in the first tier school but definitely, it is above average. It is a very good backup (or even dream school for a lot of parents) esp for kids born in 2007.

Regarding the quality of GH KG, it is an unknown coz it is their first yr & definitely, continuous improvement is required, but I am sure GH primary will most likely protect (accept) their KG kids first else who will enrol their KG in future.

Regarding kids with high standard or not, come on, all kids are only 2 yrs old & there is a long road for their development, don't limit or look down kid's abiliity now.   

For my case, I hope after my daughter goes to an 1 dragon school, it doesn't mean I can simply sit & relax, but I hope both she & I can more enjoy the childhood period, still do reading & attend extra-curriculum but not only for getting certificate.
