My elder kid is 5 years old so she can tell me.  My younger girl is attracted to 聖母像, and she asked me to visit the washroom twice and took photo with the sheep.  I think they like the campus.  However, campus is not the main factor to consider.

其實我囡囡都係TT 同 Good hope都收左, 但係我C6 prefer TT, 因佢擔心 Good hope 第一年課程唔知係點? 又唔知有無NET & PTH 老師, 而且仲無學卷tim! 但係我係bk 見到好多媽咪都讚 Good hope 嘅小學同中學都好好!

各位媽咪, 可否俾些意見呀?

GH收左我個女讀下午班，但仲諗緊讀唔讀GH好，咁難得先被GH收而放棄唔讀好似好嘥，但我身邊好多朋友或同事都有啲case係GH小學讀得太辛苦要轉校，我個女係坐唔定嗰啲人，我暫時睇似乎happy school啱佢多啲，但好多人都話K1-K3 happy完三年到上小學會仲辛苦，所以真係唔知點取捨，今晚check信箱亦收到黃大仙聖母幼稚園收左我個女仲係上午班，聖母亦係傳統天主教學校但相信冇GH咁深，你係我會點選擇呢？

我個女收左主流班.....因為佢是超大女,即repeat一年K1,我會找一間一條龍、中小學都好的學校。TT幼稚園課外活動多,學費平,其實好吸引,但今年我會以升學問題作最重要考慮。祟真小學唔差,但中學就同我母校差不多,如果要佢入祟真中學咁不如入返我母校。作為父母,當然想小朋友有更好的出路啦.....我有唸過如果佢今年一間都考唔到,就留返0係啟思,然後入返我母校算啦!
咁多間一條龍其實Good Hope是最近我,女兒亦算喜歡那兒的環境,不過都等佢參觀埋其他(培正、SPK)先再決定

我心儀嘅小學就係德望同大圍培僑....
依家入到GH, 真係開心到唔識講....只係一直擔心返學路途遠...
我12月1日就會去註冊...

I think it is not valuable to enter GH to repeat K1....If I were you, I definitely would not let my child to repeat K1 in GH. I will consider only for SPK/SH....

因為我都係住元朗的. 而最終我女係stay元朗讀小學.

我諗你要諗諗why你好 like GH, 是否非讀不可. 如果一條龍, 你女女會在GH15年.

我個人覺得小朋友讀書, 唔好太遠屋企, 一日travelling3小時係好痛苦的.  而且九龍的學校, 係唔係真係"好好", 真係見人見智. 如果要讀, 搬屋會好d.

Hi Fujitasze,

Looks like you hve a lot of insider news on GH Secondary school's HKCEE result, can you share more w/us?

As far as I know, both GH Pri & Sec are good esp in english. Moreover, in its Secondary school, they have started teach chinese in mandarin for several years as well.

In my view, I don't care much on HKCEE as long as it is above average, I think HKCEE doesn't mean much esp in our kid's generation, University are kind of the minimum requirement. Even in our generation, I have got over 20marks in HKCEE & my sister even got almost 30marks, after graduated from Uni or when work in the society, people do not focus on it.

I believe develop kids' communication skills & all-rounded knowledge are more important. Also, for famous school, they like to arrange inter-school activities where it is good for kids to have more exposure on outside society.  

For HKCEE, as long as you have good memory, it is not hard to get high mark (like me, I don't understand much on the book but I can remember a lot of model answer before exam, but if you ask me what I learn, I don't know at all, haha. Per above, you can see my english is not fluent).

haha .. yes and it seems she/he hates ghs v much (or has bias towards ghs?!) as the threads that he/she post about ghs are all negative. Just wonder why he/she still went for the interview of ghs ....

Dear all,

I have GH K1 AM offer on hand but at the time being I cannot decide which school (GH/SH) is better.  My plan is if I take GH kindegarten, I can have 2 primary schools to be selected SH/GH since I am SH old girls.  During K1-3, I can have better understanding of GH primary & secondary.

From school reports, GH secondary is improving year by year through 2006/07/08 in terms of u entry rate but SH is the other way round.  Moreover, there is one 10 A HKCEE graduate in 2009 from GH.  If more 10 A graduates come out from GH, the trend can be confirmed.

I have similar plan as you. I plan to put my kid in GH first & still plan for lucky draw, if lucky draw is good, I will go for it else I still have strong DSS backup. It is better than repeating the whole exhausted interview cycle again.

Btw, I won't consider 1 or 2 10A students from a school means the school is famous. Above avg overall is better than 1 or 2 extreme-successful cases.

I don't expect or put pressure on her to be the top gal in a school. I want her to be the average group there, enjoy & can gain knowledge & friendship in her school life.

My husband even said he/she is very eager to go for GH but have not got the seat yet, therefore, keep saying it is bad, so if anyone gives up, he/she can have chance to get replacement. haha

Again, I think all schools have its characterics which suit for different kind of kids, ppl may consider it as good or bad. We shall try search the most suitable one for our kids. For those unsuitable schoold, we shall not classify them as bad or lower tier. It is unfair for the kids study there or teachers who work there.
