Hi, I am in the same situation as you. I have not yet confirmed with the school yet... but I need to find out if KM 's pm class is Mandarin/English only .... because I want my child to learn more Cantonese instead.

KM is more famous... and for me I looked at it's primary school allocation. I don't mind pm because we live far from kowloon tong and I am afraid my child won't be able to give up early to catch the school bus.... so I rather choose pm.

any mother or father, please give suggestions??

同我舊年既情況一模一樣. 我其實prefer am, 所以就同km request轉am, 而家就起km讀緊.

LH比KM優勝既地方係語言應該比km出色, 同埋上k1唔洗再煩, 小朋友應該會返得好開心. 我覺得會比較shape到小朋友既姓格.

而KM既校舍環境就比LH好, 雖然兩間學校pn都無得出outdoor playground, 不過有時小朋友都有機會出去睇下花草, 或者其他活動. KM既課程雖然比較深, 不過中英數overall好平均. 教得深之餘小朋友又好開心, 活動都好多. 一定要留意唔係直升k1, 要擔心一排.

我相信兩間學校既老師都係好好既, 睇下你想要d乜.

what does it mean..????  Many people tell me the English level at KM is better.

also,  what is the % of PN student entering K1 at Keen Mind????  you are frightening me......

was it easy for you to switch to am class?  or simply just send in a letter of request?

如果她們在各方面都差不多，那我考慮的就是她們的收費．
學之園：$3700 (12mths) + $600 (2 semesters)
劍鳴：$3480 (11mths), no need to buy uniform
（未計新年度學費調整）

我這樣想可以嗎？還有其他意見？

Perhaps they changed the programme this year? I called KM this morning, admin said for p.m. class, it is actually International Class where the teacher in charged is NET and a.m. class is Chinese/English class where the teacher in charged in a local teacher. Both a.m. and p.m classes have 2 lessons of Mandarin Class each week.

all classes in LH has a NET, which KM only has it for pm class, for am class, the NET will stay for around an hour, which is very different between the two. I'm not saying the English at KM is not good, just LH maybe better as kids get more exposure.

around 70% of existing get offer for k1 in the first round (Nov), all the rest is on waiting list. however, as many students will leave for other schools, I think there is very good chance that the waiting list can get a seat.

我舊年問過LH, 佢地8月中就開學, 暑假只有兩星期左右, 所以收12個月學費, 應該亦都係因為早開學所以唔in8月尾出世既小朋友

this is what's going on this year. KM said the cirriculum is same for am and pm just pm has NET for all 3 hours. Need to bear in mandarin and English class starts from k2, only NET and cantonese teacher from pn to k1 for pm class.

話時話我真係對KM interview有意見。果日要我地等左
o甘耐我當係admin問題。但in果時，特別係跳舞果part，c6話老師失驚冇神播左15秒唔夠又拆既歌，個個未知咩就完，好彩我寶貝係唔係都勁歌熱舞。到過tunnel時，我地讓左個疑似細B行先，佢行都唔識行超慢地爬過去，我寶貝諗住line up雙手放后企中間偏過一點，點知慢b爬完有2條友占隊，第一個占友過完第2個占友又要過，寶貝終於忍唔住走入個tunnel，但比老師stop。c6話d老師o甘求奇又唔搞清楚反映d人唔細心，第日都唔知點對我寶貝。

我唔清楚老師有無偏心
不過偏心係人之常情喎~

我只可以講: 你有乜想知, 有乜要求, 係歡迎打俾老師嘅, 佢地都好樂意幫手
so far, 家長對老師嘅評價都好好~
至於面試時大家嘅表現(包括老師).. 咁亂, 咁多人, 都好難expect有d乜良好表現啦!

interview果日好難作準, 可以係老師想睇下你小朋友有無耐性? 老實講, 我舊年in完都唔鍾意, 覺得d老師面無笑容. 不過肯定學校公平, 因為我個女舊年係衰到連tunnel都唔肯過, 最後老師攞起左頂舊block叫我拖佢過, 但係無因為咁而唔收佢.

不過返左學又好ok, 我唔覺老師偏心(不過有個別喜好都唔奇, 始終係人), 就算有d同學仔k1 on waiting list, 都無聽過老師特別對佢地差. 老師好儘責, 有時有d行為上既問題攪唔掂, 同老師講完佢都會上心幫我教好小朋友, 呢點我好欣賞.

或者another reference你可以參考係去教育局網頁compare一下佢地的師資, 師生比例...etc....

我又唔覺wor, KM既中英文水平都幾高. 可能英文未必有St Cat, Victoria or HKPS 咁好, 但一定唔會差過LH.

但係LH每班都有NET做班主任, 而且N班已開始教phonics(Letterland, 好多人俾$都要出去學但LH N班已教)...KM am都好似冇NET gar bor??

兩間都係好學校, 入邊間都好la.
有邊個家長K1唔試下考其它kinder, KM&LH咁難考都考到, BB甘強去邊都得la.

其實得幾分鐘仲要咁樣既形式見,除非表現好差,如果吾係,真係吾知佢點選!
