做 Exercise 還是 【睇書】 好 ? (試驗一年後, 結果 #232 在12頁)

囡囡小一時做很多中英文 Exercise, 今年小二唔太肯做練習, 囡囡一有空閒, 就睇 Roald Dahl Magic Tree house Fairy ..... storybook 同煲 【老鼠記者】中文版。

請問我應該讓她自已睇書, 還是抽回時間做練習呢, 因為時間很有限, 兩者很難取平衡。

去年書展買了很多小二練習, 真係唔想浪費它。 再唔做, 就過時了。

I think reading and do exercise are not mutually exclusive. However, when it come to exam, you really need to memorize the prepositions and phrasal words. In general, I think we should let the child read more when they are young i.e. when they are in kindergarten and gradually introduce more exercise when they are in primary one.

想請教大家,女兒今年小二,一向都有閱讀的習慣,小一時中文科對她來說,沒什麼難度.但今年學校開始教文章主旨,段落大意等等,便發覺她未能掌握,MC時,會很直接選一些文章出現過的"文字"作為答案.

唔知大家有無遇過這類問題呢?唔知有咩方法可以改善?

我個女細個都係停reading, reading and reading, 有時間就睇英文台,加埋學校教grammar都唔錯,英文一路keep得好!

是的。在大書局都有得賣, 但我就直接向出版社訂, 有六五折的。

請問翻譯版是否指「大偵探福爾摩斯」（原著為柯南。道爾）？若不，可否詳述是哪一翻譯版？謝謝！

有啊，小說版名為「特務喜羊羊」，小兒K3時愛上它後，我們會待小說每出一冊便買給他，並買回以前的期數。若你女兒喜歡的話，可待書店做折扣（多至85折）才多買些，或於書展碰碰運氣。

反而小兒是進了小學見同學看漫畫版，他才開始看漫畫版，不過他仍很喜歡小說版，並從中學會（或知曉）很多四字成語。
有一點請注意，這小說從第24期開始名稱改為「特務超新星」。

我囝都係P2, 一直中文都不好, 之前很多字都認不到, 後來我買了一套翻譯版"福爾摩斯",  ...

我囝都係P2, 一直中文都不好, 之前很多字都認不到, 後來我買了一套翻譯版"福爾摩斯",  呀囝非常喜歡, 開始時我都每晚跟他一齊讀, 現在有時間佢都會拿出來自已睇, 認字已好好多了, 但寫字都仲係執筆忘字, 故仍在努力中.。 但每晚一起閱讀都係佢指定動作, 唔讀唔肯睡呢!

Many people said kids will pick up the meaning of new words when he/ she reads regularly.  However some kids may not be able to do so or not as good as his/ her peers.  Recently, I found some exercise books on English Comprehension published in Singapore which provides the skills and the steps how the kids can guess the meaning of new words while reading a book.  Also they also provide guidance how to identify information, how to summarize the story.  I find this is quite useful.  Don't ask me the names of these exercise books, there are plenty in the market.

由於亞女中文吾多好，而家都嘗試轉借多d中文書，不過佢好多時都話睇吾明，我話：”儍妹要跟能力，睇吾明就借第二d，一般d字大隻d果d會淺d“  亞女睇老鼠記者明7-8成，不過佢話麻麻like，吾知大家有什麼中文書推介？（亞女7歲幾）

但中文就仍在努力中。
