Hi lovelycat, no I am not, just ordinary.  So, don't worry, they will call you.  I never expect them to call but I think more will be called after June 5th.  Best of luck!

No, I didn't coz I know there are many waitlistings-several hundreds.  Basically, I just gave up totally.

依家唔知簡真光定港同?有無人知邊間程度深啲?因為阿仔成日話啲功課好淺,我買咗啲一年級嘅補充練習比佢做,佢差唔多全部都識.

我怕如果太易,佢會自已為是,越嚟越懶!

As I know, True Light and HKUGA ares two different kind of schools. True light is more like a local school. HKUGA has more projects and the learning methods is more lively. And also, you should consider the location. Do you want your girl to study in a girl scoool or co-ed school? If you have time, go to the school, wait until the pick up time, talk to some of the moms to get more opinion.

Or check in the web first, you should get some ideas as well.

我個係仔,但係仲有個女今年k2.

其實到依家我都唔知活動教學同傳統邊隻啱我個仔多啲!

Your son should be a smart boy, since he enjoys study. HKGUA can make him more well-balanced.
By the way, when my son is having the piano lesson, I had a chance to talk to a Mom from True Light. She really regreted that she let his son to study in True Light. It is because it is a "girl" school, the boy does not enjoy it in the last 2 years, you can imagine he will not have many friends, and nobody wanted to group with him for the assignments. And then the girls are smarter than the boys at this age. Therfore the academic result for him is just average, and he needs to find a secondary school now, it is a big problem for the boy. Since your kid is a boy, I do not think you should go to True Light at all. Go to the HKUGA, it is a good school, the task and the aim is really good, the school jusy need sometime to adjust and for improvement.

如果仔仔較叻同鐘意挑戰, 我會建議佢讀一間新思維學校(唔一定係港同, 我相信其他新思維學校都有類似模式), rather than一間傳統
因為新思維學校訂既課程較傳統flexible, 例如話(簡介會你都應該聽過), hkuga教數學, 除左一般野, 仲有挑戰站(for較叻既學生)同加油站(for要加油既學生), 而學生對both"超班"同"補底"學生都分別有support, 上到小4更會分程度教, 頭尾group較少人, 中間group就多人一d
而英文亦有co-teaching, 大班自己上之外, 會間中將唔同程度既學生group埋做小組學習
而學校用校本課程, 所以每年課程都有微調的(睇返過去一年學生跟得上既情況), 由於課本係由老師共同編制, 老師亦可o係適當時候adjust
由於hkuga學習唔限於課本, 所以小朋友都係習慣上網, 睇圖書去搵資料(學生睇課外書唔係只為娛樂興趣, 佢地一早知了), 所以小朋友有本事搵返黎擺落功課, 老師一樣奉陪照睇照改, 小朋友有心去學, 真係可以去到好遠, 呢d又未必係傳統學校offer到既學習方法
(老實講, 港同課程本身唔淺的, 不過小一要求唔太高, 先培養左興趣同信心再講)
