Objectively speaking:

1. The most prestigious schools have a long waiting list (e.g. those granted 2nd interviews but not admitted) and they may not have room to accommodate outside "door knockers".

2. HOWEVER, we can't rule out the possibility that these schools MAY have a few (less than 5, for example) places for "special cases".  I know that for some schools, their number of students in a class of 30 can be 31 and not strictly 30.  Though the chance is still very slim, it is not impossible to knock on their doors.

Accordingly, I personally think these schools do not deliberately "做勢".  I don't think the availability of info on the internet is a consideration of the schools.

The 2nd-tier schools are another story, of course. :)

I am curious - "邊間話簡介會FULL左但原來坐得一半滿" - can you name the school(s) that has/have such a situation?  This will certainly help parents in identifying these deceptive schools.

我亦唔想話間學校一定係做勢.......始終有好多"不明朗"因素, 例如有人報左唔黎, 要留返d位俾walk in等等
