my understanding is that, when applying DSS schools, you have to sign an undertaking on giving up the Lucky Draw if the DSS school give you an offer.

But if they don't give you any offer, of course you are still eligible to the Lucky Draw (and indeed, be very careful of which schools you put in Part A if you fall into a poor school net)

Well, then, even if a DSS gave you an offer, you can still Knock the school door of ANY school.  This is technically OK since the undertaking is only about giving up Lucky Draw and nothing to do with Knocking door.

So apply a few more private schools (as back up), one or two DSS that you really wanna study with, and (1) if no DSS offer, join the Lucky Draw and knock school doors if you are not allocated a good school (2) if you have DSS offer(s) but a more desired school, you can still knock the school door(s).
