1.  KTS - 位於九龍塘, 名小學, 校舍大, 校網好, 人流不複雜. 學術課程高, 英普教學, 有名氣, 學生多入BAND1頭既中學, 家長理念及背景較相近.

2.  MUNGSANG - 同樣校舍大, 但課程沒有KTS咁高. 名氣亦一般, 但勝在有中學BACKUP.  如果小朋友有能力既話, 應選KTS, 因為可入更好的中學機會較大.

3.  循道 - 免費, 但位於油麻地, 人流較複雜, 名氣比民生更一般.

3間在手, 一定選KTS.

唔係呀，個人認為循小同油天差不多，but 油天PR做得好，如可以簡，唔計$$，選私校好D。
如唔計$$$ KTS，如果想SAVE $$$，循道都好好！

Hello Daddies and Mommies,

I am not too familiar with the Primary 6 to Secondary school F1 process.

I live in net 34 and if my daughter can study in KTS (I know need an interview to get in), then when she finishes primary 6 and go for the government allocation process, then the secondary school will be based on where we live (that is, net 34) or based on where is the primary school she is studying (that is, net 41)??

Yes.  But it is not sure the policy will be changed or not after 6 years.

I see. That means I can try for Maryknoll?

This whole process is not fair.
We live in net 34 and she is now studying in a kindergarten in net 41. Few months ago I am told I can't apply Maryknoll primary school because we are not on net 41 (mommy is not old girl also).

The idea is not to let students travel too much to get to school. So why in secondary school, this is allowed?

So if I choose KTS than TSL and St Margaret, I can have a higher chance to get into Maryknoll secondary?

Only if the child has good academic performance because SMCC is a through train school.  Almost all P6 students from SMCS and Holy Angel will promote to F1 of SMCC, not many places left for outsiders.  You can check the website of TSL about the allocation.[s quote]原帖由 mimame 於 10-7-16 14:57 發表

No la...st mary 小學生由今年起會直入 st mary 中學.  所以唔會有位俾外人.

For P6 to F1, both nets 34 and 41 will be in Kowloon City Net, they are the same.  Net 35 is in the same net too.

For F1 places, half of them will go to the discretionary stage where a person can apply directly to ANY two schools regardless of location.  In the second phase, some school names will be in more than two school nets, e.g. the Maryknoll you mentioned will also be in Wong Tai Sin net too, though number the places is fewer.  These explain why students in other nets can enter too.

Some parents here said KTS can go to good secondary schools, but I cannot find any info in KTS website. Anyone here can share what schools ?

Also Maryknoll has primary school, so anyone knows roughly how many seats are reserved for its primary students and how many for Kln City net students?
