I propose that P1 interview should also involve parents' spoken mandarin, Cantonese & English.

High quality students from educated families will have higher guarantee for schools' academic results (e.g. public examinations) ( that is most BK parents' concern )

If schools are kind enough to take students generously, their fair academic result in future will be critici
s
ed by BK parents. e.g. St Paul Boys

Really hard to be a good Schools' Principal.

1. Given the large number of applicants, a prestigious school cannot be "generous" but pick applicants who are best suited to the school's preferences.

2. I don't agree that parents' language skills need to be tested.  Many students can speak better Mandarin and/or English in the primary school stage than their parents because they have a keen interest to learn.  Your proposal is also a discrimination against parents with a lower education level - we should not presume their children are less capable.

3. Academic results and language skills may (and probably should) not be the only factors a school will consider when they decide on whether a candidate is accepted.
