I also think of this, From 1 Nov to 15 Nov, 70x15=1,050 candidates.

There are 2 Sundays, so 1050-70-70=910.
There are 2 Saturdays, so 1/2 day each, so 910-70=840

From 1 Nov till 15 Nov, I believe sometimes the Headmistress had meetings, so maybe some of the days within 1 Nov to 15 Nov only 1/2 day.

So 840-35-35-35-35-35-35-35-35=560

Same case on my day, thus I personally believe that the order for second interview is by random and it has nothing to do with the meeting no. of 1st interview or scores or school or else.  Maybe they try to have a good mix everyday.

I am trying to work out the logic behind this figure and found that it does make good sense to assume there are 560 candidates shortlisted to second round.
Some paper reported that there are around 2,200 to 2,300 applicants this year, if we take one-fourths of this figure, it is not far from 560, then another one-fourths selected from second interview will make a perfect match to the 140 school places this year.

the number is from #491 to #526, which means 36 candidates for the morning session.

I assume another 34 candidates in the afternoon, which makes a total 560 candidates. This implies 1 to be taken out of 4 candidates (if they finally take 140 candidates according to their website).

Here I wish everyone good luck!  My girl loves this school so much, she's so happy on her interview. Mrs Dai was so kind to send the girls out and said goodbye to us with a smile. It's a memorable experience for my family and will wait for the final result before X'mas.

No. I only know one pair. There is teacher and headmistress inside. My girl talk with both of them in turn.
