Hi, All,

My younger son will be P.1 in Sept and his elder brother is in P.1 now.  As we are in exam till 9.6.  I've just noted that ThomasHa help to open this topic.

I remember that it takes within 30 mins to buy the books and registered for PTA.  They will also display the school uniforms of different companies.

I suggest you not to go sharply at 2pm.  Less people at 2:30 or 3pm.  Although we brought the boys, they will actually play together even though they don't know each other.

My suggestion is that we may also meet and chat for a while at around 230 or 3pm on 26/6.  On 20/8, it's parent time, we may have lunch together before going to the talk (at Fu Cheung Shopping Centre).

The idea of holding Pretz is agreed.

In my opinion, YW is GOOD, GOOD, GOOD.  I am glad that my 2 boys are so lucky to study here and I am so lucky to be a parent in this school.

Dear all,

Sorry that my elder son have just finished his exam on Wed and I have been sick for several days.

There will be around 20 books plus workbooks to be collected on 25/6.

Concerning the things for school, I have the following comment (my comment is underlined and it's my opinion as my elder son is in P.1 now)  and hope they could help you all:

《上學必須品》
黑鞋
白色運動鞋
校服（2套/ 3套）
體育衫（3套(the boys also wear PE uniform on Sat and Mrs Lam said that there will be 3 PE lessons in a week in coming year）
冷氣外套 (white x 1)
白襪
手帕
食物盒(裝小息時既食物)
保暖水壼 (冬天用)(we did not buy and use it, it may be very heavy)
書包
手挽袋 (x)
雨具 (雨衣︰記住要買件唔好咁焗 & 可以遮埋個書包嘅雨褸呀，水鞋，雨傘，書包cover)
(never use it as my son goes to school by school bus and the bus could go into school when it's raining)輕便雨衣（長期放一包在書包）
名字labels (自己印或者出面比$20)
穿校服的證件相一打(no need to take them by yourself and school will help us to take photos)
《午膳用品》
"軟"餐塾 (午餐用) 我見過Sanrio有foldable檯墊，$19.9(my son has not used it so far)
小盒裝紙巾(we only put 1 or 2 pack of daily use size tissue in his school bag)
小盒裝濕紙巾(we bring little wet towel for lunch everyday)
羹匙+叉（不建議用筷子，因容易從枱上丟下）
飯盒袋（如自己帶飯）
飯盒（如自己帶飯）
《文具》- 基本文具及木顏色，所有文具要貼名
筆盒（避免鐵筆盒）
鉛筆2盒（雷榮超介紹用施德樓HB鉛筆，跌落地都唔易斷）
擦膠半打（因很容易遺失）
原子筆(they are not allow to use pen but parent needs to sign handbook everyday)
間尺（數把）
木顏色
粉彩(no need)
美勞用的圍裙手袖(no need)
Carl Angel-5手攪鉛筆刨（刨鉛筆用）
小鉛筆刨（刨木顏色用）

A4透明folder (通告多數用A4紙)
(I buy a box file for these)
超輕包書膠（日本城有售$10一卷we bought book covers and they could be re-use for the 2nd semester books and workbooks）
練習簿簿套（一包五個/十個(no need）
掛頸八達通套（放八達通及學生證(optional as school also provide one but my son's one is broken in 2nd semester）
白膠漿/膠水(keep at home)


文具方面
不要買鐵筆盒，因在堂上容易發出聲嚮，筆盒不要買多機關果dI(but many kids like this)，因他們在堂上容易掛住玩筆盒，最好買布質，簡單那些.

不要讓他帶筆刨，
因他會玩刨筆，不專心，最好每天給他5支已刨好的鉛筆
刷膠不要大大舊，因他們會用間尺切細粒來玩
任何帶回學校的東西都要有寫上名字，以免遺失，為免肉赤，不要帶貴的文具\物品回校
小食
帶足夠小食(最好是麵包\小蛋糕)，盡量避免他問其他小朋友取，避免互相傳染病菌，小食叮囑他們要在1st個小息吃(早上通常有2個小息)，避免冇胃口食lunch.(sometimes my son does not eat as they will play or go to library)

上洗手間時，要自己識處理(包括大小便及弄好校服),

因[url=http://adex.baby-kingdom.com/www/delivery/ck.php?bannerid=565]小學[/url]經常有很多用通告，建議用zip bag 來收好放入書包，so 用的zip bag\folder 最好是a4 size.

水樽 - 500ml - 700ml，安全質料的，細樽頸 (若不夠水, 分開2樽)，繫著蓋(免遺失)(we use the columbia one)
手挽袋(but it would be inconvenient as they need to bring musical instrument if the class is after school)，a4 size (分擔書包重量)

開學前2星期實習上學時間
早睡早起，戒午睡習慣
開始訂時間表
趁現在功課不多，開始灌輸整齊概念，train他們獨立，自己拾自己的物件\收拾. e.g.拾書包
如果帶備外套，要寫上姓名，要教他們如不著的時候放回書包
心理
預告有測驗默書,但只要努力是可以應付的

— 家課套，即透明網紋型A4/F4雙拉鍊袋，前面裝通告，裝功課及家課冊用，[url=http://adex.baby-kingdom.com/www/delivery/ck.php?bannerid=591]老師[/url]suggest要買，唔使d功課周圍搵 (唔好用單邊開的folder，小一生會成日跌野唔見野)
— 透明File (最好印名在File上)、Clear Holder 1個入通告 (自己在家keep reference)、織布名字牌釘在外套、頸布、手巾仔等上。
— 我以過來人身份提提︰尤其係男仔，擦膠同間尺，係要一打一打咁買既，信不信由你！
— 仲有白色底衫、白襪..因每日都要換，所以我預成5或6件，怕有時自己老人痴呆唔記得洗，冬天又怕乾唔切呢

On 25/6, the bookshop will provide plastic bags for the books and they are not too heavy(1 person can carry them).

Yes.  Last year, parents were allowed to stay at the hall to watch Mrs Lam's briefing and playing games with the boys for around half an hour.  Then, the boys went to their classrooms and parents would leave the school.

May I know if we only have gathering on 25/8? How about tomorrow as I think most of us will go to school tomorrow?

I am interested to join breakfast gathering tomorrow but will only be available after 9am as I need to meet my elder son's class teacher at 845am.
