Hi mommies,
Do you know if ST Cat's PN will accept   babies born in 2009 for academic year 2011-12?

So, if kids got accepted by SC's PN class, can they switch to Kln Tong Campus for K1 or they can only stay at the new campus for K1 to K3?

Does any mommy know?

Some mommies said that the school would only accept big BB.  That may be the reason of some of the mommies did not receive the forms.

I was told that the deadline for PN application was 11 July.

I'm not sure if all schools define big/small bb the same way. But u guess if bb reaches 3 when starting K1 school on 1 Sept (or similar case when reaching 2 when PN starts in 1 Sept), the bb is to be considered as big bb. This is the case as in Vic where has big bb born from 1 Jan to 31 Aug and small bb if born on 1 Sept to 31 Dec.
I may be wrong as different schools may their own definition. However, some parents may think this sort of system is unfair since some small bb can perform
as good as big bb.

Did u choose Cantonese for interview?
ours was in English. We only had circle time with the teacher telling a story to a group of 5 kids. During the story session, the NET asked some questions relating to the story. Seems the enlist interview was much more easier.

yes, i'm living in kowloon tong area.
have no idea yet and still in the process of searching.
Do you have any idea? Or do you know if there are other mommies who are also searching the same?
Worst case, may have to take taxi going to school and taking train back home.

Dear mommies,
Just wonder, apparently, there will be lot more K1 students graduating from HH campus in future.  If all k1 students stay at SC for k2-k3, does that mean SC's kowloon tong campuses has to absorb nearly 5 more classes of students in the next academic year 2012-13? and then 10 more classes of studetns in 2013-14? My concern is how the existing campuses can absorb all these additional students with the current facilities and space.
Any mommies did check with the school regarding this?

I called yesterday. They said that letters would not be sent out this week. But they mentioned that registration would happen around mid Aug and school would start around early Sept.
Do anyone of you know if K2 classes in Kowloon Tong will guarantee to accept all students who complete K1 at HH campus?

So, does this mean that they don't need any assessment to determine whether the kids can promote to K2?
I asked the same question to the staff earlier.  They said that they had to review the ability of the kids before confirming that they can be promoted to K2.
Maybe, we need to further clarify this one more time.

Not sure.
Maybe this is the normal procedure in each school.  Most of the students can be promoted except those very few ones who cannot catch up and fulfill the minimum requirement.
Will be helpful if anyone can ask those parents who have kids studying in SC.

Anyone know if SC will arrange transition period for PN students, for example, 1 hour school on the first few days, then 2-hour class on the following few days, then 3-hour class say after a week?  Or, they will just start 3-hour school right from the very first day of school?
It's a little bit difficult to arrange school bus and helper to pickup.

Just wonder, anyone has heard of the future planning from SC?  Since SC now has its own PN classes and also 6 more K1 classes in their new campus, will they accept less K1 students next year 2012-13?  Otherwise, how can they absorb all the students to K2 in kowloon tong campuses next year and the year after next?

SC will arrange transition period for K1, even to K2 students. So I think they will highly likely arrange transition period for PN class too.
