Yes I agree. Although SC is a good school, I realise that a lot of people in the forum may have too high expectation and unrealistic hopes about this school. and finally they may find that disappointed in the end, or when they cannot go to a good school in primary 1 and regret that "why did I not choose KV or LH or York or KM or xxxxxx 3 years ago........".
No need to feel bad about your decision about "giving up". I think it is a wise decision as long as you keep teaching and caring about your child!
