In reality, this is a common practice of some kindergartens and primary schools.  So, the EDB is used hearing this.

It is because some of them like to forecast how many percentage of students would withdraw their offers so they will made the offer with such assumptions.  By doing so, they will not need to call so many students from waiting list.  I wouldn't further speculate the reasons behind their policy but it is always sad to learn that parents and students are being affected by such actions.

Good luck to the affected parents and hope you can all resolve this soon.

I guess it is fair that some of the parents wouldn't want others to know who they are.  As long as they don't use different accounts to discuss on the same thread, this is okay.
