YW is a very "popular school" because
(i) Mrs. LAM's excellent marketing skill.  You can see her in newspaper, book, interviews, megazine, talk show, TV and radio programme to sell her "idea" - happy learning.
(ii) You can see YW's VCD, P1 admission Seminars, Website's information....just like "Advertising"
(iii) There so many believer of Mrs. LAM.  So many "enthusiastic parent" in
this forum to defense and safeguard the name of YW.

As far as I know, there are many parent reject YW's offer and go to other "famous school" finally.  Some even did not attend the 3rd interview with Mrs. LAM.  There are many YW's parent try to "lock door" to other "famous school" in P2-P4.

YW has been changed to DDS school in 4 or 5 years ago.  It is a "new" school. That is why Mrs. LAM try so hard to sell YW and try to convince others YW is a top-rank school.

My feeling is that what you now perceive YW is solely based on those "advertising materials" mentioned above and the comments from YW's enthusiastic parents.  How about YW student's standard? No one can tell !  Beacuse it is a "new school"

Those top-rank school do not sell so hard.

I anticipate this will attract many feedback from YW's parent and I just want to share my veiw.

Agree  !  After studying here year and year, my son feel disappointed and unhappy. He refuses to return after summer.

名唔名都唔大問題喇, 最緊要學校肯收,不過逄勸各位揀校最緊要量力而為, 唔好見人地學生有幾叻就已為自己小朋友入左去都會係一樣, 當小朋友跟唔上, 學校係唔會留情架.
亦都唔好聽人講冇"補習", 出去上學術班, 好聽D叫增值班都唔算係補習? 真係好多家長"自欺欺人", 一味話冇補習, 其實咪一樣出外進補.  好多學校專登教深D, 唔會理有冇學生跟唔上.  唔好已為真係小朋友入左去會變尖子, 家長最緊要跟都足, 學校唔幫得幾多.

唉！剩係識批評，但係有冇實際令人信服嘅建議同分析，站唔住腳。YW剛轉直資，並唔代表唔好。百年老店，可以一夜摺埋。新嘅少咗歷史包袱，可以多創新同有空間作嘗試。你估香港啲家長嘅智慧同見識只係道聽途說？林校長個簡報會真係好吸引，但係好多家長們都唔會單單憑林校長30分鐘嘅演說去搵自己個仔嘅十幾年學業去搏。
況且齋講唔做你估BK啲家長會放過林校長？BK有喜歡YW嘅家長，亦有對YW反感嘅家長。但係喺我觀察中，正面評價遠較負面批評為多。

This is not a criticism or analysis on YW.  I have no time to do so.

I agree with you that there are many positive comments on YW in BK foram.  YW is a good school.

However,

it is my personal observation and feeling.  You may agree or disagree.  

Please make your own judgment.

When there is no track record at all,

When there is something sounds too good to be true,

When there are so many people try (so hard) to convince you to believe somthing,

You should be think careful and be smart !!!

Mrs LAM did not hard sell YW at all. She promote YW very softly, indirectly and skillfully.  She is a excellent sales person.  But, it is noting wrong as a DSS Principal.

仲之我地自己家長知道咩一回事米得囉！
佢，又冇任何理據、事實去支持自己。我地講咩都係因為我地係熱心家長、林校長 fans...

作為一個熱心家長，我和仔仔都好喜歡YW。
人地當然有權唔鐘意。咁唔鐘意米唔好報唔好考囉！又冇人迫你既。

樓上既熱心家長講既我都好認同。
Non-fans 或報考左既家長可以選擇..信則有，不信則無。

希望家長唔好為仔女追求名校, 應該為仔女選擇最適合既學校就好啦

而看官，連小朋友都未出世，都鐘意一路食花生，一路比意見。

YW 吾好又話DGS好
校長吾好又話似sales
千五蚊學費又話不足以賠育學生
校外學生數學樂器得獎又吾能夠登大雅之堂
英華小學生又要同十三歲碩士比

如果要批評YW都要有小朋友讀過
先叫做感同身受

只是邉食花生邉說我覺得同

我覺得你都傻嘅有乜分別

因為1. 我校網唔好
      2. 我只會選一條龍小學
      3. 就算聖保羅男女收我個仔, 都唔知點同個仔返, 所以亦唔打算考.
      4. 叩門太辛苦, 亦唔好想做
     
所以如果英華收, 而心目中至愛唔收都會讀
