我也是靈糧的家長, 和 Ms.ChanChan 意見一樣.
活動及創意教學的幼稚園不等於只是玩的幼稚園, 我從不擔心小朋友會和小學無法銜接.

好似我親戚的例子，小朋友是讀民生幼稚園，相信這是一間很受家長歡迎的傳統幼稚園，但當他升上民生小學後，常常追不上，甚致要留班。

攪掂﹗終於DL到﹗

之前有個BT file，DL 咗成晚都只有58%，最後仲冇種，終於有人放種，100%完成﹗ :

節目中雖然提到幼兒著重抄寫等嘅傅傳統教授方式係無必要，例如訪問了小學，當中已表示不存在銜接問題及列明教統局指引，不鼓勵太早抄寫等原因，但對於愉快學習嘅概念未算好深入闡釋，只是講出活動教學的遊戲模式，其實呢種方式最終希望培訓小朋友學習興趣，引發主動學習，如果能訪問多個選取呢種學習方法嘅家庭會更好，節目中嘅個案全是支持傳統教學，雖然節目嘅方向是傾向不認同，但個案中嘅家庭是否在完全認識愉快學習才選擇傳統教學則未有分析

我都一路睇一路覺得好有問題, 點解要避啲小朋友學啲咁難而又不實用的字, 連大學生及高官都不懂, 這樣會防外他們思維發展, 所謂容易跟得上傳統小學, 只不過容易跟得上一二年班的搬字過紙教學法, 當到三年級要學運算創意, 他們就會有困難, 其實都冇統計顯示現在小學或中學高材生是否大多數讀這些幼稚園, 我相信每間幼稚園都有成功的學生, 不能一概而論

雖然我冇睇到，但我個人應為孩子的學習態度量重要：例如陪養孩子喜愛返學，但父母可自行加強孩子的不足，這樣孩子便不會從小便感到學習的壓力了。 :wink:

Furbabies

I watched it with hubby and we were disappointed that our college students do not know any of the words.  These words are honestly very common in the western world.  These words might be long but at least half of them are things that kids are familiar with on a daily basis.  

In our days we were learning 'a' for aeroplane and 'u' for umbrella.  They are long words too.  In this generation is astronaut a heated topic after we have our first astronaut up in the space?

I agree with you, epecially the examples you gave.

I don't think caterpillar is a hard word for a five years old child.  They should be so familiar with the book "The very hungry caterpillar" written by Eric Carle.  I also feel disappointed by those adults who did not recognise those words, which you can find in many children's ABC / animals posters.

Yeah.  Astronaut should be heated.  Caterpillar is a common bug.  Ostrich is even in supermarket now.  Quilt, we cover everday.  Igloo might be difficult and uncommon.

I also agree with Furbabies & HuiTung!

The standard of English is so low in HK.  One of the problems is that we don't pay effort to strengthen our vocab.  Without good base of vocab, how can we write/speak/understand good English?

How many teenagers in HK can fully understand every single sentence of Harry Potter (Eng)?  It's vivid as the writer can describe every details, which involves quite a lot of vocab.

If we talk about Chinese, I don't think 太空人, 駝鳥, 毛蟲 are too hard for a KG kid.
