Not yet, he will take IBDP in 2013.

He follows his advisor's recommendation to take 2-4-2 choices. He prefers to study in HK and then UK. He will take SAT and then IELTS.

You mean min admission requirements (I can't see it in China). In that case, not very helpful.

Exactly, the first few batches of HKDSE students may focus on local universities. For overseas universities, other exam boards may have better chance.

完全正確，首幾屆參與中學文憑試的學生可能要專注香港的大學。如果考慮海外大學，其他海外試會較有優勢。

Highly appreciated your inputs and info.

For university admission is more difficult to decide compared with secondary admission. Like we all need to consider the following variables:

1. Examination results - HKDSE, IGCSE, GCEAL, IB, HD, AD......
2. Choices and combination of subjects & streams
3. Career inspiration & experiences
4. Wider spectrum of ECA
5. Diversity of achievements
6. Recommendations & nomination
7. Interview performance
8. Places per program
9. School based admission - even you get in BBA in HKUST, you only get in Global business at Yr3.
10. Academic standard variance between HKDSE & HKALE

In my son's school, 100/120 got into local universities either through EAS or JUPAS, so 84% from HKALE or EAS.

In HKDSE, 200 students, only 25% means 50 students can get in to local universities. If keep 100 students, so it is 50%.

Am I correct?

I don't have clear picture of LS, but I have some picture about DBS and CCSC. I won't judge which one is better, provide some facts for your consideration (Base on CCSC 2009-2010 report and DBS prospectus [average between 2000-2009]):

From 2012 onward, DBS will have NSS & IBDP streams, the comparison may be more difficult. In 2013, DBS can compare with SPCC, NSS vs NSS, IBDP vs IBDP.

Personally, I prefer professional programs for undergraduate.

IBBA too general. Consider IBBA as backup.

I checked back 2010 admission grade table, there was BBA-JD. So no more........

HKU BBA-Law is a good choice, 65 places.

CU QF is another good choice, but QF has two programs JS4236/JS4276.....  Why accountancy? I think your daughter may not interested in that.

Should be OK, no need to have BAFS as entry requirement. Too tough for intern and exam.....

Do you know why?

I know some professional bodies not satisfy with the 4 yrs program, which eventually downgraded....... those degrees.

For non-jupas application, does he require to submit the applications to each individual university directly?
[Yes.]

Should he apply before the public exam or after?
[Before IBDP exam with her predicted grades based on her first year internal exam result and further advancement in the 2nd year.]

This week end CUHK will have Information day about Admission, there is a session for non-JUPAS, you can go with her to clarify your concerns.
