M1讀定唔讀????

Pls share more on the arts subjects she takes and her target university programs, so that we can advise on her case.

For example, she would like to study QF or Economics, some universities may need her Maths at higher level, like M1 or M2. All depends.

It depends on the choice of programs and the ability of the students. If just want an ordinary degree and take any extend module will affect other subjects' exam results. This marginal case or with doubt better take core maths, full stop.

If a kid no matter taking HKDSE or IBDP, his ability upto Grade 10+ at Grade 5, studied algebra and calculus even with Stanford credit in Maths, it doesn't matter.

If you want to take Economics in LSE, or QF in CUHK and HKUST, universities expect you take M1 or M2 with A or A*, Maths HL, 7 are the min admission requirement. Not up to par, also full stop.

You are right, better refer to the target university's most updated admission requirements. Don't just listen to the hearsays in BK....

My son joined an attachment in a public hospital this summer, he involved in a clinical research for a consultant, partly are related to statistics...........
