Why do you like SMC so much? Do you have any offer from other schools? I also have a 2nd interview on 4/10, but I also do not have reply upto this moment. I live close to SMC and it has the advantage of one dragon. I don't have to worry about secondary school.

emily: hmm, quite a few reasons.. i have 2 friends, both of their son goes to SMC. they are really smart decent kids, very polite, outgoing, athletic and with very good language ability. and i noticed that they don't really have a lot of homework/ requires tutoring or having tons of after school activities like the kids who goes to traditional schools, but they seems to know so much...very presentable when u talk with them. And then, cos this is an english school, i think that like most other couples, mothers are always more concerned about homework load and exams (cos my husband is the very very relax type that he thinks very highly of his son) I probably will be the one checking on his hw, and following up with exams. so if all the subjects(apart from chinese of course) will be in english, i think that I will be able to manage better. but honestly, according to my 2 friends, their kids learn to develop to study on their own even for exams(3 & 4th grader) and do thier projects & homework independently, little supervision was required by them. i am a working mom, this is really what I need. I don't think that going to school should be a stress to kids & parents...and this is the only school that i attended a 2nd interview so far. and all the rest of the other schools, we'll needs to wait until nov, and dec...

My friend is a foreigner. Her daughter studies in SMC and enjoys so much. However, she is really good at English (mother tongue). I know the character of my daughter well. She hates writing and dictation. She enjoys learn by doing or playing. She is really an active girl. She tells me she enjoys the lst interview very much, as she can play games. However, the 2nd interview is too boring just talking to the vice principle.
From my observation, SMC is good at packaging and promoting. However, it is a little bit too exaggerated about their academic performance. Moreover, someone says the ECA is free of charge. It is the another attraction of SMC.
