This is just so confusing.  I wish EDB can just give us the rules of the game clearly so we can make the most of what we have.

其實咁，大部份學校，因為每年小六生人數相約(就算有不同可能只係幾個上落)，咁用前人的成績計算，可以得出的數字相對可靠，但因我姨甥的學校，今年小六的人數比往年多，而且多了不少，據的理解，佢地會用前人的ps1成績按比例計算返今年會有多少人band 1/2/3，但因為有其他因素，例如有直g唔派位/跨區等等，而個計算係由電腦做的，所以，只能大概推測<----我聽完職員o既解釋就係咁樣理解

其實就算了解到個機制，我覺得都冇辦法搵到一條必勝formula，因為6年間的改變可以好大，你依家見小朋友好似醒醒地咁，可能到5-6年班又未必係top，見佢依家傻下傻下，可能高小就發力，最大問題係有太多外在因素影響，例如提到的前人成績，又因要計s.d，即是同學間的成績都有影響，不過入一間往績相對比較好的學校，似乎係比較穩陣

meejh which easy primary in wanchai are you referring to?? I'd like my son to enter an easy primary (with good discipline) rather than the top academic ones.

我姐姐是KLN TONG某BAND3中學, 今年佢地學校收左幾個喇唦仔(插班), 我本身都林佢地應該成積不錯: 因Band 1 生入band 3學校讀? 但我姐姐話唔係., 係真係好差WOR.....

Sorry difficultmom, the Easy Primary is in Net11 (Central / Western), which is my net. I think (only my humble views) every school here is good. Even the least popular school has a v good reputation for excellent and caring teachers, and is indeed a very good school.  Don't know if you'd be interested.

Thanks for your reply meejh. but I am not in net11 so no chance unless it's private or DDS?

Wrong.  For "free" schools (not DSS or Private) u can pick ANY school in ANY net in Round 1, counting yr points.  Of course, the popular schools every mum wants = impossible (ie. LaSalle, Marymount, Maryknoll).  But there are some schools that mums do not choose, ie. Easy Primary (which may or may not be good - need to research).  U can get in easily if you apply.

Then in Round 2, there is still a section for schools other than yr own school net.

Above is my understanding and I'm quite sure is accurate.  If not, other mums please correct me.

total agreed. 有些同學仔低年級傻吓傻吓, 佢一發力真是不可收拾. 正所謂開"繞". 我老公細個時讀書讀極都唔入腦, 唔知點解讀唔明.  但到了中學後, 他發現自己有很多題目無師自通, 有興趣地尋根問底. 入一間往績相對比較好的學校比較穩陣.

So which good easy primary(s) in central are u referring too?? Schools with good discipline yet caring teachers are difficult to find.
