Anyone admitted to Kindergarten of KCIS 2012-13?

mister, our deposit deadline is today so i think they have to see how many didnt pay to release how many seats for 2nd round. Hope you can be offered!

I have no hope in ESF (although i also applied) and my first choice is always KCIS because of it's chinese component.
is your kid current N student? did you go for KCS interview?

oooh they are calling non-N students already...i guess the 8x seats will be very soon filled up then!

congrat ah littleho! I think it will be very difficult to get in KCIS again if you give up now...so TAKE IT! (I also gave up my 8K SWCK deposit...)

If you choose am class, our kids will probably be classmates again!
(BTW, will you go to the christmas party on Fri?)

Welcome to KCIS mister! I can totally understand the relieve as i have been planning for this since 11 month of my kid!

littleho, so you gonna try KCIS am + SWCK pm in Jan?

I actually share your feeling. I can FEEL SWCK wins over KCIS in my mind (the environment, the caring teachers, the % of int'l students). But just i KNOW that a strong mandarin component is way too important now, so I will still go for KCIS.

Good to know that. You know when i was offered by SWCK but not KCIS, i was thinking and planning how to teach her chinese at home, which can be quite tiring and demanding for a working mom!

好彩當年真係為咗有得priority interview KCIS, KCS N 收咗呀女我搬屋都要佢去讀, 如果唔係我諗我到依家都未有得IN..(my application number is later than that of crystal i remember)

i feel like, from my experience of attending two interviews of int'l schools, the "performance" of parents is far more important than that of the kid's. By "performance" i mean the ability to communicate in english, the common belief in int'l education system and the way of nurturing your kid at home, etc.

i echo what crystal had said, you have to think clearly the path you want your kids to go before making the decision. When is your deposit deadline?

sorry 題外話:
littleho, did you elder son learn about phonics at KCIS? I am thinking if i should put my gal at a Montessori Phonics class on sat (have to pay soon) , or if a Montessori Math class will be better?

我覺得個 logic 應該係:
priority group --> in 先 --> admitted --> parent 揀 am/pm --> 多數揀am --> 冇咩位凈(or 得番pm 位) -->遲in 既group會收得緊d因為得番好少位

As for outdoor playground, unfortunately the buses are staying there most of time. From my observation, kids usually play at the cover playground and sometimes at the roof of the building.

KCIS has 3 terms instead of 2 semesters?
