And do the kinder parents still need to pay the 500k nomination fee in order to get a spot?

(1) A bit confusing for some parents because the change was really brief. The interview priority is there now anyway.

(2) You pay the nomination fees to get priority to an interview. Child need to pass the interview to get a place. The deposit of nomination will be refunded if child fail interview. You can not pay to get an offer of place.
