兩間都唔知點分好.其實邊間近就報邊間.

要注意,聖士提反是津校,佢既幼稚園生係第一第二輪派位冇優惠,至於叩門就唔知.另外,而家聖公會學校都會計埋天主教,所以如果係天主教,兩間都有個五分宗教分,但係聖公會既報瑪利曼就冇得加個五分.

St. Stephen's Girls' 一向只認可聖公會既宗教證明，
其餘基督教會派之證明一律都不接受，
所以就算有其他聖公會學校接受天主教證明，
我睇St. Stephen's Girls' 不一定跟隨，
如果認可天主教證明，
佢地點能夠唔認可其他基督教會派之證明呢？
所以最好直接打去St. Stephen's 問一問。

仲有St. Stephen's 班少，相對Marymount 呢，
論抽籤機會，St. Stephen's 比Marymount 細。

【明報專訊】官立、津貼小學自行分配學位階段下周一展開，聖公會向轄下小學發出通告，指若有天主教徒學生申請入學，可獲得「相同宗教信仰」的額外分數，提高入讀機會。有天主教學校大表不滿，認為「河水不犯井水」，質疑基督教學校搶收學生。天主教教區學校則表明不會為申請入學的基督教學生加分，並期望教統局澄清何謂相同宗教信仰。

在小一入學統籌辦法下，父母或兄姊與學校有關係、學生信仰與學校相同等，申請入學時均可獲加分，分數愈高被取錄機會愈大，「相同宗教信仰」佔5分。

聖公會柴灣聖米迦勒小學校長馮家正表示，天主教與基督教因歷史原因分裂，但屬同一信仰，過往聖公會未有清晰指示，小學不敢視天主教學生申請人為同一宗教，今年辦學團體釐清準則，聖公會小學可為天主教申請人加分。

指信仰相同 正推動合一

有深水埗區聖公會小學校長解釋，聖公會與天主教教義類似，增加天主教徒申請人的宗教分數不是問題。

另一名聖公會小學校長更說，聖公會近年推廣與天主教互相認可的「合一運動」，該校過往也曾為天主教學生加分，只要領洗證明由獲政府認可的天主教及基督教教會發出，便可獲加分。

天主教香港教區教育事務主教代表助理陳繼賢表示，天主教與基督教關係密切，但天主教轄下學校接獲基督教徒申請，申請人不會獲額外宗教分，以免引起誤會。他期望教統局及基督教學校澄清何謂相同宗教。他說﹕「若A宗教學校收生時厚待B宗教學生，對B宗教的學校及學生構成影響，或令學校、家長及學生都不開心。」

天主教促澄清何謂相同宗教

小一入學委員會主席張志鴻說，政府有責任釐清「相同宗教信仰」的定義，定義不清隨時引起行政混亂。他說，天主教與基督教名校眾多，若因「相同宗教信仰」定義模糊令學生無法入讀心儀學校，或會引起爭拗。

教統局發言人表示，在小一入學統籌辦法下，學校可保留不少於20％小一學額，按「計分辦法準則」分配予申請人，有關與學校辦學團體有相同宗教信仰的準則，是為保留學校的文化和特色。辦學團體和學校對「相同宗教信仰」均有清楚定義，並自行釐定宗教準則。為免產生誤會，家長遞交申請表前應先向學校查詢「相同宗教信仰」的定義。

但 st. stephen's d 英文好好架喎 ?! 究竟中小同英小用咩標準來分呢 ?

Unlike to secondary schools, EMB provides no strict classification of primary schools by medium of instruction.  And it causes confusions every now and then.

The question of medium of instruction can be reduced to two ends of a continuum.  On one end of it, we have schools like MPS and DGJS which teaches all subjects in English except Chinese and Putonghua.  On the other end of the continuum, we have, say, most of local primary schools teaching all subjects in Cantonese/Putonghua except English.  However, there are schools lie in-between.  For example, St Clares does it by teaching English and Mathematics in English in lower primary and switching General Studies from Chinese to English in senior primary; St Mary does a similar thing by teaching all subjects (except Eng of course) in Cantonese in lower primary and enhances the English content in her formal curricular in senior primary.

As you know SSGC well, you are able to judge where it lies.

i can share some points as my daughter was in P2 of SSGS and i just talked with my friend and her daughter was in Marrymount.
SGSS is Chinese in medium of instruction. The pressure of studies was not high as it is 活動教學.
教會分只count 聖公會but not other Christian Church.

Marrymount is better in English as it medium of instruction is English. But my friend tell me that her daughter is very very difficult to learn. She is in P3 but now is ready Harry Potter.

個別學校係可以自行決定宗教分標準，
尤其是基督教會派眾多，個別會派有兒童洗禮，
有些會派又反對咁做，只有嬰兒獻禮。
所以唔同會派辦學既基督教學校，
係收生宗教分上都有唔同既標準，
有D 基督教學校只要父母係教徒已有5 分，
有D 要學生自己有洗禮證明，任何會派亦可，
又有D 指明只接受自己會派的洗禮證明才有5 分，
St. Stephan's 同埋衛理小學正正係咁。
某D 聖公會學校係唔需要受聖公會小學監理委員會監管的，
照我所知，St. Stephen's 係呢方面都仲係咁，
佢地仍然係唔會給予其他基督教會派5 分，
所以絕對有理由相信，佢地唔會比天主教徒5 分。

Is your daughter in SSGS? Do you have any idea about Sacred Heart and St. Peters ? (as I have a younger son, can't decide to choose co-edu. school or school for girls)

Hi Haileyyu,

My daughter is still in K3.  SSGS would be the 1st choice on the coming lucky draw of my daughter on both Part A and B even though the chance is not high.

SSGS, SH and St. Peters are all good Primary schools in District 11. I think it is OK if your daughter can enter one of the school.  

I select SSGS because

- I prefer Whole day studying for my daughter where SH and St. Peters are am/pm sessions.
- There is no exam. in P.1&.2 at SSGS.  It is helpful to have a transition period to accommodate the primary school life.  The  loading at SH and St. Peters are higher.
- The competition of entering the nominated secondary school is comparatively lower at SSGS than SH.
- New campus of SSGS will be available after 2 years so the environment will be better.

The above said is only my own opinion, I think the better school is the one which is most suitable for your kid.

Actually, my daughter is studying in k2, I am living in Lyttelton Road, and we are a christain of 聖公會, any chance in 1st and 2nd round???
