Hi, everyone

All of us have to buy a few more books this Fri/Sat at school.

Basically, I've wrapped most of the books.  I'll put label on top.

I guess we all have a lot of things that we are not sure about.  Hope that we could get more info this Saturday.

I always tell my son that he will be the smallest in the school but still he has to take care of himself.  Trust that the teacher will help them adapt to primary school life.

BTW, will your kid take school bus ?  When is the boarding time ?

I called the school bus company on Monday. They said the caretaker would call us later this week to confirm the pick-up time & exact location.

I've applied Japanese for my son but the result is not yet released. Right !?

you're right. i just called the school. they said that the distribution of japanese & french was quite even. so, everyone can take the 3rd language that he chooses this year. thanks a lot for your info.

btw, did you receive SMS from the school this afternoon ?

It's mentioned in the SMS that kids must wear school uniform & arrive at school before 9am this Sat & school bag is optional.

I do think book cost of over $1500 a year for P.1 is expensive. As for the price of Japanese book, we have no choice. Just hope that they were good.

wow, i didn't checked the update of this topic for just half a day & realized that many more people have joined this chatroom. wonderful.

my son is in 1E (Japanese).

the school bus company still hasn't called us yet. i guess i'll wait till this afternoon.

I live in Kln City & the normal pick-up time is also 7:10am. Strange. I suppose TKO should be further away from the school than Kln City. When we take school bus this Sat, maybe we can get a clue.

rec'd the call at about 3pm. the driver was very nice. he was patient enough to answer all my questions. since we are the only ones (new P.1 student) taking that route tmr, so we can't really try the real route. so, i told the driver that we would get there by ourselves.

hope that you'd all received call by now.

Finally, it's the first day of school. My kid took school bus. Traffic was good. It only took about 20 minutes to school & the school bus arrived at about 7:35am. Hope that the kids would enjoy the day. For sure, the kids will have a lot to share with us today after school.

It's hard to keep the food warm after the whole morning. Thus, if the food provided at school is not too bad, I'd prefer ordering lunch from school.

My son also told me that they had to bring textbook tmr. Remember our kids are in the same class. Did your daughter say she had to bring coloured pencils today ?

i think u don't have to worry that your kid may feel bored in recess time. kids get along with each other easily.

Dear All

did you visit the eClass ? seems that there are a lot to share among the parents & the schools. just wonder if parents can send email to each other in the school web. i know some schools do not allow parents do so.
