I have a same question as your ==>

Good Hope vs YORK

==> most of my friends are couraged me to choose GH as this is ONE dragon school

However, I really don't know their academic result since there is a long time ago for the kinder GH managed before.... all are now unknown ....????

And this is a solely chance of us to choose GH primary if they are just concertrated on the HAPPY school life. Then our kids will be not competitive to flight for other GOOD primary

On the other hands, I am sure YORK will educate the student in a GOOD academic result oriented.

How can I decide ???

Due to so many unknown issues, I have to re-arrange my girl's extra course planning -

YORK ==> Good English, so I have planned to pay for Mardarin & Maths ...

GH ==> Look for the ENGLISH course, Mardarin & Maths as well

Someone can share with me ?

My girl is BIG girl ar ...

我相信很多父母選擇GH 是因為one dragon link， I cannot say GH is in the first tier school but definitely, it is above average. It is a very good backup (or even dream school for a lot of parents) esp for kids born in 2007.

Regarding the quality of GH KG, it is an unknown coz it is their first yr & definitely, continuous improvement is required, but I am sure GH primary will most likely protect (accept) their KG kids first else who will enrol their KG in future.

Regarding kids with high standard or not, come on, all kids are only 2 yrs old & there is a long road for their development, don't limit or look down kid's abiliity now.

For my case, I hope after my daughter goes to an 1 dragon school, it doesn't mean I can simply sit & relax, but I hope both she & I can more enjoy the childhood period, still do reading & attend extra-curriculum but not only for getting certificate.

The following is quoted from the Comprehensive Review Report of Good Hope School published by the Education Bureau in May 2009 concerning the student performance: "In the past three years, the percentages of students with 14 or more points in the best six subjects in the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE) were well above the territory levels. In comparison with schools with similar S1 intake, the school performed very well in the HKCEE for the past three years and the performance far exceeded the expected level. In the Hong Kong Advanced Level Examination, the percentages of students in the school awarded the minimum entrance requirements for local degree courses were well above the territory averages of dayschool students over the past three years.”

Would you please show me how can I get the HKCEE official report of GH's performance? I would like to learn more about the performance of the students of GH in HKCEE.
By the way, the Comprehensive Review Report was done by the Quality Assurance Division of Education Bureau not by Good Hope.
