Last year DGJS 1st Interview was carried out by school teachers. In groups.

Previous years DGJS 1st Interview was carried out by Headmistress, in group of 2.

Anyone knows what the pattern will be for this coming Fri/Sat?

I also heard rumors that the principal is not satisfied with the students chosen last year by her colleague so that she is back to interviewing process herself. wonder if that is true but i think definitely in group; otherwise it is almost impossible for her to screen so many candidate. Is DGJS like SPCC which says they are going to interview all applicants? On DGJS form it says "applicants who is required to attend a meeting will be notified by letter on or before 2010-9-30."

1st int - group interview by teachers.
Only in 2nd int will candidates have a chance to see the headmistress.

sat morning, followed by SPCC and CKY in the afternoon !

我想問下首輪面試，父母係唔係咩都唔洗做？
因為同一時間，我仲要同細女IN幼稚園。如果咩都唔洗做，我地兩公婆可以分頭行事。thx!

一個已經可以，父母只是在HALL看VIDEO。

For those who interviewed with DGJS today, pls would you share:

(1) is it with teacher or with headmistress?
(2) how many in a group?
(3) cantonese/ english?
(4) any drawings?
(5) parents have to fill in questionnaire?
(6) from the moment stepped into the school till the end - how long roughly?
(7) what are we (the parent and the kid) expected to do for the 45 mins waiting time?

Can both parents go in and watch video? Or strictly allow 1 parent only??

(1) is it with teacher or with headmistress? ==> Teacher only.  I saw Mrs. Dai sitting at the front door.
(2) how many in a group? ==> around 20 girls but not sure if they were further splitted after entering the classroom.
(3) cantonese/ english?  ==> both
(4) any drawings? ==> yes
(5) parents have to fill in questionnaire? ==> No
(6) from the moment stepped into the school till the end - how long roughly? ==> 1.5 hr for me.
(7) what are we (the parent and the kid) expected to do for the 45 mins waiting time? ==> nothing.  My kid and me first asked to go to a classroom after registration.  About 20 min later, my kid went off with other girls.  Another few minutes later, the parents were asked to go to the hall to watch video while waiting.

i went to this afternoon. i only see one parent accompany with the girl. And we were together waiting in a room for 20mins before the girl go out for interview. Then the parent will go to the hall and watch video. Mine : arrival time is 2:35pm and i left by 4:00.

NO, only 1 parent can go into the school with your girl, strictly enforced. So many teachers/helpers stand in the front entrance and pointing out "1 parent only please."
