去年都2500人，今年出生小朋友比上年多，yw平靚正3000人報唔奇呀。

計下數先。假如150人Sibling+old boys（去年120人）, 30位reserved for them, 即是2850人爭120位，差不多24：1。我估TSL可能去到3-40：1。

边間人數有2000,3000抑或5000去報名又如何呢?
到時面試時撞口撞面又咪係呢班仔,個個都報10間8間喇.
前面醒果百幾人最後咪同時手執幾間係手.
其餘咪似去書展,年尾花市趁熱鬧咁出返泥…..回家等多兩三個月,等前面”精英”落實意向後再去執.

用報名人數去衡量一間小學升呢與否,我覺得幾得意!
人人都同時可以報N咁多間.就算dbspd,yw多spcc幾千人,也不代表什麼,新界人始終會較少過海讀書.
我又斷估吓:呢一兩年西九多了不少投資移民新家庭,你們認為會不會也有影响?

十年樹木,百年樹人,呢好幾間小學都有中學部,小學部質素如何,最好看它們的中學.看中學質素如何,也要看入U成績吧!(當中也受每年的小學插班,中學的自行收生影响其學生質素.)不是一年,兩年就搞惦一間小學的質素問題.
若報名人數多就會升級,奉勸其它降呢的小學校長快請排隊黨及網上五毛黨幫幫手.

It is common sense that the rising no. of applicants is not directly related to the level/band of school. It is just an advertising effect only.
However, if the no. of applications falls down, every principal will consider what the problem is. It is abnormal as the birth rate is rising even you deduct the no. of baby with non-HK parents.
"書展,年尾花市趁熱鬧"
If you don't need to spend time to interview with child ,and understand the school information. I would say it is as easy as shopping in book fair.
In fact, I do think many parents are working hard for preparing interview and selecting suitable primary for their children.

Hi Peterba,

From what you say, do you mean that there will be many children of 投資移民新家庭 studying in Ying Wa?

.... though i also think it's not surprising that they would be favoured by the school as they are better off with resources to nurture the kids.
