KENTVILLE INTERVIEW'S CONTENT NOV. 14, AM

Dear all,

today morning finished,
also same as sc, only one parent can entry the campus, i'm waiting outside, my husband with son then go into for interview (very fast & comfort). about 6-7 tables in one room, 2 teachers with one table.

2 teachers sit opposite to my son & his father :

first, one teacher guide my son to play:
1) use toys knife to cut bread
2) give him 3 pcs of horse (with  
    magnetic tape), ask him to make
    them together to be a completed
    horse
3) give him a 陀螺 to play and ask him  
    what is it? (quite difficult, he never
    play it)

maybe thats all, my husband said can't take care about him because at the same time, another one to ask my hushand questions :

1) who take care your kid?
2) how many time you (& your wife)
    can share & play with him every
    days?
3) what's main languages using in  
    home?
4) why you choose their school?
forget to tell you:
5) which time you prefered (am or pm)?

after finished above, 1 teachers who play with my kid then ask to kid :

1) what's your name?
2) how old are you?
3) who is he? (his father)
4) show him a picture with a
    swimming pool ( 2 kids are
    swimming, 1 mummy playing with
    her kid, 1 kid is  parking his
    bicycle.....)and then ask him : point
    to 1 thing : what are they doing?
    (give him model answer : 1 is
    correct, 1 is incorrect), point the
    other thing : what are they .......
5) ask him where is your father's
    nose, hair.....
forget to tell you :
6) at last, teacher requests him to sing a song but
    his father said he might not be singing if no
    guitar.

I feel that the teachers are very nice & patience because some questions my son is not answering in first and then they ask him many times....
and my moible is connected with my husband so that i can listen a little bit.
my husband who like this school very much because of nice teacher, good environment rather than sc.
totally using about 20 minutes to complete whole interview and go out.

thank you for all information. Teachers ONLY use Cantonese? Can ask them use English?

你真係一個好大方, 好好的媽咪,  每次都第一時間上來報告, 我個女明早inv.  我都係好喜歡kv, 因為大囝讀過.  我仲已為明天可以帶埋大囝入去睇吓舊校, mug 改左, 好似sc 咁只得一個家長同小朋友入去.  以前係一家大細可以入晒去, 到in的時候, 其他人要先走, 得一個家長同小朋友inv.  咁樣, 我明天不用帶大囝去了.

衷心祝你的小朋友, 順利入到kv.

YES, 有叫小朋友唱砍歌! 亦有問我選AM 定PM,PM 考唔考慮! IN 左多間幼稚園, KV 係最有效率, 流程最簡單同有系統既一間! 各方面既感受都比SC 好, 老師NICE, 全程好笑容, 引導小朋友玩同答問題! KV 既INTERVIEW 都好全面, 一個老師問家長, 一個老師考同小朋友, 可以睇到小朋友既獨立性, 無家長幫咀時小朋友可唔可以獨立與老師溝通! KV 值得一讚, 比起當年同大仔IN 時更好的安排!

Thank you for posting the interview questions.  Very much appreciate your generosity and willingness to share.  

Wishing you and your son best luck.  My daughter will go for interview tomorrow afternoon.

Questions are similar as mentioned above, EXCEPT:
1. after cutting the bread with the toy knife, asked my son to give everyone around the table a slice of bread
2. asked about the colors
3.asked my son to raise up his hand, my son didn't know what that means, then the teacher show him by raising up her hand, my son followed, and then the teacher asked my son to touch his ears and my son did it.
3. I saw there are some pictures putting somewhere near the table, but my son was not asked any questions about those pictures. not sure, maybe they know my son is a small bb and so omit that part.
4. Sing a song

2nd Part, questions for me are same as those previously discussed. they did appreciate you say something nice about their school

Final part, return the application form to the supervisor.
Asked (again!) the name and how old my son is
Asked him to take a candy and say thank you.

My husband was waiting in the playground, and I immediately told him that they will definitely give a seat to our son :P
haha...that is the "Reverse" asnwer, because my son completely failed in the final part, he just lost his patience when he saw the slides in the playgroundand the outdoor environment, he grabbed the candy without saying thank you and did not even say hi and look at the supervisor.  
HAHAHA!!! No hope lar!
For those who haven't yet attended the interview, be cautious to the final part la.  I am sure that lady sitting there is someone senior who can make the decision who to accept and reject.

The whole interview last for 20-25 mins.  But just don't get there too early, I think 10mins earlier should be enough. Also, beware of the traffic as the roads are narrow and and traffic is busy.  really don't want the car accident (near st. cat) happen again (we were there and saw the accident)

我老公都完全聽唔到老師問阿仔乜野, 因為一坐底已經即問老公野, 另一個老師亦在同一時間問阿仔野, 阿老公話根本顧唔到阿仔既表同埋唔知佢有無答或答啱定錯喇

可能學校用甘既方法先可以睇到小朋友夠唔夠獨立而且亦可以今到 INTERVIEW 過程流暢好多, 整體 KV 安掛得 VERY GOOD

我今早in，我仔已答了大部分問題，但老師沒有叫我仔仔唱歌，有無其他人不用唱歌呢？

老公話佢只係聽到問阿仔叫乜名, 幾大, 同邊個同佢尼..至於 test 內容都有切面包, 睇圖等等, 可能老公要專心答另外個老師問題, 所以理唔到阿仔點答,但佢話唔係好覺老師要重覆又重覆問阿仔問題喎....或者可能阿仔答到卦, 所以好快問完啦( 我都係估下),  到最后咪叫阿仔唱歌, 之后走得交 form 攞糖 say thank you 甘上下啦.
我估每張 table 都唔同, 因為有個朋友都係今日 in, 無要小朋友切面包喎..

其實我今日問佐老公 N 次到底阿仔答唔答得到d 問題,老公話當時個情況佢真係唔係好記得喇,( 我真係 O 哂咀), 因為次次佢都係甘, 一 in 完就唔記得晒, 不過可能因為佢仲緊張過阿仔啦....嘻嘻
