有冇人interview咗港大同學會書院? 可否share下, Thanks.

We attended the interview last week. It went quite well. The admin office staff then called on the following day to offer my son a place.

As stated in the FAQ on the school website, the school is looking for students with high English language competency who can cope with the curriculum structure. The first part of the interview was focused on testing the English language proficiency of the applicants. It seems that the principal would also explore the unique charaters and abilities of the kids to see if they could fit into their target group. The parents were then invited to join in the 2nd part of the interview, in which, the principal shared the school requirement and vision and provided his feedback on the student characters that he observed.

It's really a nice experience with the sincere comments given, no matter you would ultimately jump on the wagon or not.

We accepted the offer without any hesitation.

About the 1st part of interview, is it a group interview or just interviewed by the teacher or the principal?

Either one of the two vice principals interviews the student individually. The principal may also sit in to observe the student performance.

請問一下, 每月所需忖多少錢 ?
另外,我所知, 此校是活動教學, 如小學時就讀的傳統教學
是否適合考慮此學校 ?

每年都有傳統學生考入hkugac
留意返學校無普通話教中文, 其他都係英文, 小學部直上既學生, pth底子已非常扎實, 外來生如果pth未得, 之前最好準備一下
另一方面, 學校活動教學, 要求學生teamwork, 做project, 自己睇書上網搵大量無限咁多資料, 再組織同用自己文字方式表達, 好多傳統學校學生係唔慣的, 而assignment未必有絕對答案, 老師好似大學講師咁有office hour歡迎學生隨時上門發問, 所以學生要夠主動性至可以如魚得水, 習慣"俾幾多啃幾多" "背得叻就高分"既學習模式, 係要一段時間適應架
(hkugac既教法係大學既教法, 要求學生主動去搵知識的, 考唔考慮活動, 定想穩穩陣陣, 就要睇家長想小朋友學一個點既學習模式喇)

睇返之前家長意見, 似乎佢係覺得OK就即收, 未夠OK就WAITLIST, 但中途會繼續收APPLICATIONS, 一樣OK就即收, 要去到6,7月至決定CALL唔CALL WAITLIST
