我想問gigamind小學係咪好難入讀的?英文程度是否要求好高?

   如果你的子女讀開國際班應該不難入讀 因GIGAMIND的中文以普通話教授 而其他科目全用英文教授

我個仔無讀國際班,只是在普通的幼稚園就讀,而且英文是很水皮的,那麼入讀的機會是否等於0?

妳好, 請問小朋友入讀激活小學後現況如何? 我小女現讀激活幼稚園K2班, 所以很想知多些小學的實際情況.  一班有多少人?  是否轉了新校長, 老師質素如何等等, 謝謝.

Yes, the arrangement is we will move from TSW to Kennedy Town.

hi 金瑪姬,

We also moved from TSW to Kennedy Town 1.5 years ago.  Kennedy Town is a good place.  My son studied Gigamind Kindergarten before.  We also consider VSA and ISF.  Would you mind to share why you choose ISF not VSA?  Thanks for your kind sharing.

多謝回覆, 現考慮天天和激活小學, 如果激活不是全私校, 每月要付4000多元學費, 我不會心大心細.  是否這學費值得繳付呢? Pls all Gigamind Moms share your experience!

In addition, how about Joseph Lee?  Should I take consideration?

my girl is accepted by gigamind for 2008 P.1. I got high pressure from freinds and relatives when I told them my daughter is going to study in this school next year. We are living in Tai Wo Hau (tsuen wan) and no school bus for this area. Also this school is not famous and they all doubted why I send her to this school. After reading your info, I have more confidence that this school is suitable for her.

請問如果小朋友讀完k2轉入激活讀p.1, 咁到佢讀中學時想讀英中, 會唔會受年齡限制架﹖

不用擔心, 升中學是不限年齡的, 實際上有部分激活小六畢業生是比一般小六生細一歲, 因為他們當年也是由K2直接升讀小一

激活幼稚園是採取活動教學的, 分為主流班(班主任是用Cantonese的)及雙語班(class teacher is a NET).  雙語班的班主任會教所有的subjects, except Chinese by another Chinese teacher, so children will have more time to learn English from the class teacher.  There are about 20 students in a class.  They have a new topice for each month and a newsletter for the month will be distributed to parents, so we can know what they are learning in the school.  Homework is not much; they draw lines and curves in the 2nd term of K1, but they have both either Eng or Maths + Chinese homework in K2 daily.

The school always encourage the students to read books and will distribute 1 Eng + 1 Chi libray books to the student weekly.  I also like their "Sing Along Book" + CD, there are 2 for a year, children can sign with the parents at home and learn a lot of useful phases.
