If I luckily got a confirmation from St Paul's Boys that they accept my son, will it affect the result next Monday from the Government??  Will they cancel the seat of my son even he has got a offer from Government?

I have also got the admission letter but I think I will register St. Paul co-ed

My boy is in waiting list and invited to attend the briefing session on 24th November,2006.  

Anybody is also in waiting list?
Do you know how many people are in the waiting list?
Anybody can share the previous experience in the last year?  The chance is great or small?

Hi... my son was on the 1st batch waiting list on last year as well. As far as we know on last year, they didn't mention very clear about how many waiting list on 1st batch and how many on the 2nd batch. As I remember, what we told on last year was about 100 on 1st batch waiting list.
Just only what we did... kept update our son's achievements from the whole year on last year including their school reports, acitivities achievements...etc. Finally, he got it. Is worth to attend the briefing session as you can ask any questions if you can from the end of the briefing.. good luck..

Then, I know my task of finding a school for my son cannot stop, should be continued.......

This time, I really feel disappointed and sorry to my son because in this morning, I can't get the seat from the gov't and I only applied two schools.

Would you tell me when did your son get the seat?

Register on 25/Nov

Are all the accepted boys in the same date?
Yes, but seperate into AM & PM sections.

Basically, after the register date, they will start to call to the standby list for replacing the one giving up the place on register date...(most of them should be got a place from gov't allocation on today, but not too much on last year..  as it was not included for my son on last year...) After the result came out from June, there were more seats came out again from the central allocation. I've got my son's place just on the 2nd date of the final registration date for St. Paul Boys on last year on July...(as I remember it was the early of July).
Don't give up if it is one of your desired school. Keep updates to the school esp. from the time near the registration date when they will bring out more seats from no show. Good luck to you all as I am very understanding how's all your feeling which exactly the same as mine on last year.
