「優先取錄」計劃 is not a new thing and it only applies to "top students" no matter they're from traditional or IB stream. The「優先取錄」計劃  = reason for parents to "like" LA sounds a bit strange to me since there's no IBDP course running under the school at the moment, which is the key thing to determine the chance for students to get into good univerisities by the 「優先取錄」計劃 .

Better schools "produce" more "top students". Even traditional schools have classified to be "band 1", "band 2" and "band 3". Although there's no "banding" system for IB schools at the moment, the overall IBDP results that their students gained should be the key benchmark of how good the school is doing in teaching / training their students. And I think parents should take that as one of the references seriously in considering which school to put their kids into.

The reason my family decided to let our child study in LA is NOT for any "Top students", "Band 1" or "Banding System". In fact they are exactly what drove us away from the traditional school system. They can keep their TSA, their "band 1" title and their so called "top students". Please don't force those on our kids.

By the way, the students in LA study happily, and the trend (from my first post) is they will have a growing chance to receive university education. I don't think it is strange to LIKE it.

Thanks for trying hard to explain why you like about this school (as keen as those who are running the school:D ). This forum is a platform for people to express their opinions freely. Understand that and good luck!

Just want to say there're a quite a few good IB schools with good resources and track records out there, not just LA (actually I may not be correct to put LA and other good IB schools for comparison as there's still a long way to go for LA).  That's all.
