我有壞消息啊!! 那個在6月25日的, Jolly Faith Learning Centre的JP course 取消了!!  因為人數不足.  那些staff 說, 以往次次都full, 但今次可能學校考試, 所以没有人去上堂!!

不過她們在7月5日晚, 有個re-union, 是由原創者Chris Jolly & 2 Australia trainers 主講的.  It's free of charge.  如有興建的mama 可自行致電問問.  tel: 27881866

另外, regular的JP training course 會在7月30日 (六) 舉行, 是full day 的.  fee 應該是 $780.  

我現在不能去上堂, 只好買本handbook 自己學下先la.......  真的很失望

If you have time on 2 July, wisekids has also organised a training course by two Australian trainers. Cost HKD400, venue is on Regal Hotel @CWB.

let me tell what I know.
I found two phonics programs are available in the market.  They are Jolly phonics & Letterland. After checking what they are, I choose jolly phonics.
It is because 1)it's much easier for a younger kid to learn.  (around 3 -4 years).
2)not many characters in jolly phonics, so can save time
3)but the program is not as comprehensive as letterland.

To me, is fine because I just want my kids know the phonmes

我都知, 但我見他們是official trainer, & also local experience, 而且我打電話去問野時, 他們很耐心答我, 所以我才揀在那centre 上堂.  

wise kid 那個 training, 我的時間不夾啊.....

anyway , thank you.....  I think I will wait for the July training at JFLC.

Jolly Readers are interesting storybooks designed for children who are just ready to read.  They will have learned all the letter sounds in JP, and be able to blend these sounds to read simple words (including words not seen before).  The Jolly Readers use words with the basic letter sounds in JP.  There are 3 lively series (Inky Mouse and Friends, General Fiction and Nonfiction) covering a wide range of subjects.  There are 6 different titles in each series pack.

你有没有去re-union 呀??

我昨天去了.  我看到那些在那兒上堂的小朋友很活潑, blending 時, 個個字都會讀.  他們不是一看到字便讀出來, 是一個個音來blend, 然後再讀全個字, 所以很明顯, 她們本來是不懂那個字的.  而且他們很會主動說英文.....  我很impressed.........

他們有些字雖然併錯了, 但我看到老師們也不會對他們說: no/ wrong, 反而會說: nearly, try again, 又提下他們, 又鼓勵下少出聲的小朋友答........ 氣氛不錯.........

我没有買handbook, 因為那兒的staff 也不鼓勵我買, 因我會上parent training, 她們叫我上完堂再考慮.......

我自己反而買了dvd, 但我未看....... 遲些再同有家share 啦......
