In China, yes; in HK,I don't think so.

Not everyone aims at or capable for AO........

Say CA vs Examination - 70% : 30% is another alternative.

My son study in a DSS school, they don't have LS in junior high, but they invite different speakers from different background to make speeches and presentation during the assembly. Like Szeto Wah, Emily Lau, Regina Yip etc.

No matter senior or junior forms asked tough questions to challenge those speakers. They don't have formal "LS", but they practice that for years. I can see their in-depth understanding of local news better than some adults.

My son did challenge Emily Lau on "post 80's" as a wrong label and eventually the protesters in different demonstrations are cross different age groups. Why label post-80's? She apologised and rephrased her comments.

He understands that public figure not always right and need guts to say sorry publicly........... (He has a better impression on Ms Lau). Participate some demonstrations without pay or treats to understand their rationales etc, not just from news and "commentators". That's "LS" not model answer or marking scheme.

Both answers are fine to me.

The same marker for the two answers? If not, difficult to comment. If yes, the political correctness makes the difference and not purely the content and arguement. Any political affilication of the marker, any conflict of interest?

If my son stays in NSS stream, LS is my primary concern.

No matter how good you prepare, all depends on markers........ Diversity and uncertainty......

LS no definitely answer, just like debate. The marker can't have definitely answer before the marking. Follow the arguements of the students and how they draw the conclusion.
