KTS vs Good Hope

Regarding the HKCEE result. I have the same queries,
why the school website doesn't show the exact grading. But classify it to A-C, quite unclear.

Hope the current GH parents can provide more info for the HKCEE result !!

朋友個妹讀DGS，當年仲係津校，唔洗錢，佢亞妹係DGS係羅底橙，英文會考係"C"。我只係羅d data出來吹下水，希望GH既current parent. No hard feeling!

有朋友同我講過GH大概分2種：1.有錢or中產 2. 公務員。學費3K幾，剛好拿盡政府既welfare，d囡囡入唔到GH，入左KTS＆禮賢＆宣小都唔like喎！

My daughter is studying in P1 of GHS and I am civil servant.  I consider it is rather naive if you think civil servant want their daughters to study in GHS for 剛好拿盡政府既welfare.  I want my daughter to study in the best school that she can get into, no matter it is an aided school or a private school.  If possible, I want my daughter to study in Maryknoll or St. Mary's or Heep Yan.  It is the fact that under the current centrol allocation system, unlucky people with no relations (such as religious points or not living within the same district of the school) has little hope to get into the good schools.  I did not want to become a Catholic or put down a fake address for the sake of having a better chance in the central allocation system.  I choose to pay for a place in a good school.  Under the current central allocation system, I believe good old famous schools are under pressure to change to Direct Subsidy or private school in the near future.

I put my daughter in GHS not only because it is a good school (my sister studied in it many years ago), but because I did not have the luck to get a place in MaryKnoll and St. Mary's and Heep Yan etc.  Although I got government subsidies, I still need to pay part of the school fees and I need to pay tax on the subsidies.

明明合格都留級,

奇奇奇 我隋口都講到10有紅字 (= 個別 paper fail) 都有得試升上P.2.

明明合格都留級 = 放棄.

依 logic 推算, 呢 d 試升咪 = 明搶 $ 快快送你走的籮底橙   


仲有, 有 d 家長主動要求留班, 呢咩係官津好難做到, 唔係又要入學數嘛

其實要咁睇啦，好多要比錢的學校，係一定會流失一ｄ人的！

而其實轉直資後未參加過　ＨＫＣＥＥ呀，第一年會係今年中四的同學，到時就知啦　！　

其實係ＧＨ讀得叻個批係比得上任何一間超級名校的叻學生！

老實你比我再簡，都係要間有中學的小學，因眼見好多亞媽一到升中又要過關，真係好辛苦　！

至於HKCEE英文優良率，可參考以下的資料。GHS的50%已經是很高的了。有很多Band One中學祇有十幾個巴仙。

我的囡囡正讀小學，所以我只keep女校和男女校的資料。不過，一般來說，女校的HKCEE英文優良率是好過男校的。

朋友case係消防員，太太無做野，2kids, 心水清Ｄ，都睇怕唔洗點比tax啦！搵得多個個都要比tax，唔洗羅出來講喎！教育津貼係工務員人工的一部分，可以話應得。

GHS的50%已經是很高的了。有很多Band One中學祇有十幾個巴仙。

不錯，50%優良已經是很高的了，全港勁過GHS的，不過15家(我估)。

其實好多時不能天從人願的，只能盡力做好！

其實每個人都想讀哈佛，牛津，劍橋，芝大架，咁入唔到去讀科大，港大，北大，中大，清華　都唔失禮啦　！

If I pick GHS. Is it easy to apply P2 in KTS if I found out GHS is not suitable for my daughter or if she can't handle the pressure at GHS? I heard that there is quite a lot of seats at KTS in P2 . Due to some of the P1 student will use their good result to apply other better 私校 or 資助小學. I think that is not easy to pick KTS and change to GHS in P2. Because the "old style"  GHS may not happy if I won't choose them in the 1st round. Am I true? Any parents has try this process before.
