Kentville does not have pre-nursery class, only K1-K3.  All students have to go through their selection process.

I used to count how many words our son can say.  I think it's over 150 by now.  But it's really meaningless coz he just shuts up during the interview.    :

So excellent!  Your son can speak over 150 words.
My son just can follow me what I say.  He can't say anythings by himself.   no... he can say 'aiya', 'pooh pooh', and some sentences looks like English language.  But, I can't understand him.

150 words that I have counted for the last year.  So he might have forgotton some already!  He is not actually talking in sentence.  He just says the word when he sees something he knows like sheep, train, chair ....................

Does your maid talk to him?  Is he going to playgroup?

Is your son a small boy?  I am sure the teachers should know there is definitely a big difference on the language ability between a January and a December child.  Don't worry!  俾D信心!

Are you going for interview with St. Catherine?  Do you have a clash with Kentville?

Danielboy, Furbabies & all BK mothers who is the same situation as me:

I didn't let my son to attend any playgroup, as my son will attend Pre-nursery class on Nov this year.
Actually I don't mind the result, although I have a little bit stress.  Even my son passes or fails the interview, he's still my honey.
I will not force him.  I will pass everything to the God.

Our boy goes to the playgroup organized by our clubhouse for 3 months.  I just want him to meet other kids and learn something.  Not sure if he really learns anything though.  They have a new teacher now and she is not too good.  Kids have been dropping out so I will not let him go next month.  He will go to nursery in January.  So he will be staying home only for the next 2 months.

Trust in Him.  He will provide.  :

你唔駛咁擔心,你囝囝係細B,老師自然會對佢o既要求降低少少!加上interview又唔係淨考對答,仲有其他動作題測試小朋友o既反應!我有個表姐教幼稚園,佢話其實老師對小朋友第一個印象分最緊要,小朋友樣子甜美、得意,俾分都會俾得鬆D!話冇偏心你都唔信啦!你囝囝咁cute,一定得o架!Take it easy......Relax!!

Yeah my friend teaching at another kindergarten said that as long as the kids have reaction they would be accepted.  :

Teachers just need to make sure the kids are not autistic.

I am not sure.  My daughter is a younger one but she will interview on 13/11.

My son was born in April and therefore is a big boy.  He can talk pretty well by boy standard but may refuse to talk if the interviewer is not pretty. (I am NOT joking).  He is extremely choosy & moody.  He can be very talkative if he likes a stranger or else turn his back towards a person whom he dislikes.

I don't have a clash with the SC interview which will be held on 12 Nov.  Anyway, good luck to all of you here.

但聽講interview會要求小朋友唱歌仔, 肯唱o既就好大機會入到!
我個仔就成日o係屋企唱, 但出到去就好難叫到佢唱! :-|
