hi honeybee,

i have a friend who hasn't received reject letter from la salle during "knock door".  she has called school early of august and asked school to check his son's name.  finally, school told her p.1 are full.  la salle didn't explain whether they have sent her letter or not.  if you want to know the truth, you may need to call them.  however, i hope you will have a good answer from the school.  good luck!

Where do you learn 中文文法?  In class or private teacher?

IQ Test - Yes.  You can do it later.  SFA has arranged for P1 last year.  They said they will gather the parents' comments first.  If the response is good, they will continue to arrange this year for P1.
You may check whether your school will arrange this before you go to find yourself.  If you need contacts, please let me know.  I have friends they have arranged for their children themselves.  At least I have 2 contacts.

Piano - Please check with the teacher whether he can sit in the Public Examination.  Remember to have this.

Swimming (Private Coach) - Where do you learn - club house?  How many days per week?  How long each time?  How much is the private coach?
My friend has introduced one to me and may start in September.  I want to compare before I really confirm.

Thanks for your information. According to your friend, I don't think my son will have a chance also. My husband also don't want me to call the school to confirm this as he also feels there is no any chance at all.

Piano-應該沒問題,他在幼稚園時演過指揮家.老師說他表現很好,而且很鎮定.而在畢業表演他還做過小MC.他是懂得何時可以玩,何時要定.

Swimming (Private Coach)-是在會所,有時一星期一堂,有時兩堂,每堂一個小時,$200/小時.因她在我們的會所教很多小朋友,可以接住教,所以比較平.另可以找人一起學,即是如兩人一起學,學費可以SHARE.即每人$100.

今天我終於致電la salle,接電話的教職員說原則上已經把所有reject letters全部寄出. 除了還有幾份portfoils在校長室,但應該是新寄來的,而校長還沒有空拿出來叫人寄信.她也說奇怪,因為我入了三次信,照計收不到3封信,應該起碼也有一封.


其實應該一早要打定輸數.現在唯有只好寄望在P.2. 大家一同努力呀!

各位我只是路過, 但你們的對話令我好震驚, 點解d小朋友可以咁勁 , 我個仔今年升k3學鋼琴(2級), 剛學小提琴, 準備學游泳, 他校內成績都是全A(但無放太多時間溫習), 他大約識500個中文及300個英文左右, 但我已經覺得忙到無得玩。
請問你們的時間表是否好緊密??? 你地的小朋友個個都咁SMART, 而我個仔表逹力比較差, 攪到我好驚考不到好學校 可否話我知外面的學校收生標準是否真的好高, 還是你們的小朋友太叻???

網上世界有假有真，不必太過認真。

LS小學大部份學生也是普通小朋友，沒有甚麼特異功能。同時間，其他小學也一樣有出色的學生，身懷百般武藝。

I have a friend's son studing in La Salle.  There are many homeworks in each day ( at least 10 items).   He took at least 4-5 hours to finish it.  Please note this is primary one student.   Do you think it is worth to let kids suffer such high pressure???

My son is also a primary one student. He never had 10 homeworks each day. He usually finished them within an hour. Normally, there are around 4 homeworks a day. Not too much pressure and he had a lot of time to play.
