請問有沒有人知道LA SALLE是否已經把全部reject letter寄出.

沒有, 只是知道你和另一位BK媽咪都已經收到信,而我到現在還沒有收到. 不知道是否有太多信要寄而未到我,所以到此一問.

Maybe it is a good news.  They are still considering you.  Why not you call the school to check?

When I received the reject letter, I called the school and asked them about the profile.  They said they will destroy them after they send out the reject letters.

我也想過,不過快要開學,我知學校老師和員工都會比較繁忙,我怕打電話去好像煩住人.所以只好問一下BK媽咪還有沒有人未收到信,如果大多數都已收到信,我便會如你所說,心中便會覺得可能會有些機會.不過說真的,機會可以說是零.
因為如我之前所說,可能是有太多信要寄,所以也有可能未寄到給我.

我個仔派了大圍聖母無玷聖心小學,你不是住沙田區,所以你可能不認識.其實之前考了st.joseph - 觀塘,另今個月初st. paul boys college也收了,但最後因為知道要早上6:30上校車和要下午5:30後校車先回到家.時間太長,所以考慮了之後,便拒絕學位了.
我當然有計畫啦,如果仔仔在聖心成績好的話,我便會再考LA SALLE和DBSPD的p.2.大家努力啦!

Oh, yes.  I remember now.  I think St. Paul's College is too far from us - even I am in Kowloon.  One of my friends her son will go to this school because he is accepted at the beginning.  Therefore he could not have the "lucky draw".  My friend has also "knock door" to LS - of course, no la!

Will you join some "practice" class for the target schools - LS & DBSPD?

我沒有打算收什麼特別的課程,因為轉校是最看校內成績的.所以我只會由仔仔継續現在的課外活動,另當然要看緊些小一的成績.

你呢,有什麼預備功夫.

In BK, you can meet many "friends" that you don't know them. But we can share our experience and feelings here.

Of course, school reports are very important.  But if your target is LS, then you may need "UBLIC EXAMINATION" results.

What is your child's 現在的課外活動 ?

piano,swimming,phonics,水墨畫,毛筆字和中文文法.另他還想學golf,kung fu,bedminton,小提琴和珠心算 .真的頭都痛.

我還打算和他做IQ test.

La Salle is very very difficult to knock cos. relationship and donation is always on top of academic results. Of course, the first in form may have some credits especially for those studying in famous private primary schools such as SFA.

Again, back to the "real" world.  You have to think about your "next step".

piano = which grade?  Any certificate?  Better to have.

swimming = where he learn this?  private coach?
Certificate again.

珠心算 = not recommend.  You may note from other forums that those children only memorize the "rules" but no thinking to understand the question.

golf = I plan to let him have this one too.  Depends on his schedule.

Badminton = you can play with him.  I teach my son how to play and he enjoys very much even he cannot play very well.

Kung Fu = no comment.

How about ENGLISH?  No course or examination?  I think you need to plan this also.

=>  My friend has did this one for his son.  The St. Paul's College one - he got 136.  He then submit to LS.  Maybe it is not the right time because of no seats at all.
I think don't let him do this so early.

Thanks for your comment. I will consider.

Piano - 完成tom lee 兩年課程,另有私人教了約六個月,老師評價很高.
swimming -有private coach,學了一個暑假,可以自由式游約20米.
珠心算-我老公也提議,不過暫時沒有時間.多謝你的意見,我會再考慮.
golf - 他很喜歡,他每次去練習場可以不停打多個100個球,其實我老公也會教他.
Badminton - 每星期都有打一次,他都叫做打到,不過姿勢不正確.
Kung Fu - 其實我不想,因他本身已經太好動了.
至於英文,他上了1-1/2年playgroup,1-1/2reading,1/2年phonic,現在是二級,暑假後會轉為oral & writing.
IQ test - 不知要否排期,我打算年尾做.
中文文法 - 我會保持,因他認識多了很多生子,在幼稚園裏的老師也讚他口頭作句很好.

Thanks for your information. It seems good to my kid. I hope I can announce the good news to all at here. But frankly speaking chance is thin.

Now, I am hesitate whether to call to the school or not, but I am afraid to hear the reject news by my ear because I have got a very littIe bit of confidence now.
