因想女女讀ESF小學, 所以想了解一下讀咩幼稚園好, 係唔係一定要讀ESF幼稚園, 會唔會有小朋友係讀其他幼稚園而入到ESF小學? 麻煩各位幫忙, THX~

Attitude

Boxhill at Ma On Shan.  Almost 100% entry rate to ESF 啓新。  The principal of Boxhill is very good and enthusiastic, she can even remember every student's name!

One of my friend's son went to Hong Kong Academy.
Another friend's daughters attended Alison's Letterland Child Care Centre.

I don't think most Starters graduates would have problems in English in order to pass ESF interviews because over 90% of them are accepted by various ESF primary schools, like Quarry Bay S., Kennedy S. and Bradbury S. Of course their English standard also depends on whether the kids' family is providing them with an English environment at home.

Whether your child can get an interview offer during the first round also depends on which ESF primary school you are applying for.  Some schools receive more applicants than others, so local Chinese might have a lower chance in getting in.

Just want to provide more official information in case some parents are not aware of it.

We prioritise applications by category (see below) and by date of application. Applicants in category one will be invited for interview before those in category two, regardless of the date of application.

Category One

Children who speak English as a first or alternative language but do not speak Cantonese and/or read and write Chinese characters.

Category Two

Children who can access the local system but who also meet ESF's entrance requirements.

Within each category priority will be given to students who:

are siblings of children already attending an ESF school; are attending an ESF Educational Services Ltd Kindergarten (for Year One only); are former students returning from a period overseas; have a parent who is a full-time employee of ESF; are the children of former ESF students.

I was told by an ESF kinder principal during a presentation that if an interview is offered, usually the applicants will be admitted. That means interviews are not offered to all applicants and unqualified applicants will be not interviewed.

I was also told that every year only 1-2 ESF applicants from each ESF kinder (~100 students?) was not offered a place after interview (excluding those who did not apply).

In my girl's case, all of her ESF kinder classmates were admitted by ESF primary/RC.

我想問咁如果我個小朋友淨係講英文, 唔係好識中文, 咁佢會係邊個category呀? 我同先生都係chinese, 冇外國passport
