We know that these are good schools, and we like both of them.  Please advise how you would choose between the two?

Of course, this is based on the assumption that we are lucky enough to have offers from both schools :)

Many thanks.

As far as I've researched, SPPCS is more traditional and focus on academics:
1. It has more dictation
2.  Less extra-curricular activities
3.  P1,3,5 are pm, P2, 4, 6 are am.
4.  It is only associated with St. paul's secschool, so not all students be able to promote to SPSS
5.  All subjects are taught in cantonese except for English subject which is taught by a native English teacher
6.  It's a girl school

I believe children studying at SSCPS will feel much happier and less pressure as

a) it's a DSS school, so if you maintain an average academic results, it's not difficult to go to their secondary,
b)  furthermore SSCPS weighs more on its extra-curricular activities, it encourages students to learn and practice at least 1 musical instrument.
c)  Its language exposure is much better, so in general their students' english and mandarin proficiency is higher than those cantonese based traditional school.
d) has more activities approach learning.

But for SSCPS, one has to pay at least HKD5xxx more each month in exchange with those associated benefits.

Dear daisy17772,

Thanks very much for your information.  Again, I think both are good enough schools.  Maybe the answer lies in what type of environment do we want to put our daughter through -- middle-class or well-off.

It is vague to state the difference between well off and middle class, doesn't middle class ppl well off than others?  Anyway if this is the only pt that makes difference to you, then it's easy to choose.  And I know some families who are well off, they sent their girls to SPCPS.  The academic overall is very different in st. paul's catholic.  But anyway good luck then.

两間學校各方面都好唔同,好難比較;樓主當初報名既時候應該清楚。

如果被抽中/取碌,咪揀自己比較鍾意同認同0個間囉。
