Got a notice yesterday.
No shcool for K1 on 29 and 30 June 2011 because of the graduation ceremony.

And the School hour from 4-8 July has shortened to 1:15 - 3:15 for pm class.

It is the project week this week. What your kids bring to School?

I have, and I like the idea of having primary school children to look after the small one in the library. They will distribute books and help them to get new one.

But from what I observed on last Thursday, their run down is quite busy and rush:

From 9:30am to ~11am
Playground
Music
Library
Back to classroom for snacks and learning

Not easy for the kids to focus, and too much time spent on queuing and moving around different venues.

Any parents went to class observation last week?

I find it is a good chance for parents to know the school life of our kids.

Most KGs will not organise class observation for parents to critise them. Only a School which is confident enough to let parents to cirtise will do this.

My daughter received a note that she should bring a 親子Lion dance design to school before 26.1.2011 for their lion dance activities.

Oh my goodness!
I spent almost 2 days for making it.

阿囡星期一就話要帶新年裝飾佈置課室，但屋企冇，我問帶利是封得唔得，你又話得，於是俾咗幾個利是封佢。到星期二，佢就話老師話要上網揾新年食物圖片，然後印出嚟帶放學，於是就印咗張A4俾佢攞返學。呢兩日再問佢要帶咩，佢就話"我唔知道"...............。

有呀, 不過佢話帶全盒, 唔知真定假.跟住又話畫都得
事關我屋企都冇全盒所以同佢講要去買咗先

Hi 各位SC家長，我已give up其他學校offers，只register了SC。但仍有些小問題想請教吓大家：

SC kinder只有英文科才是英文教，但到了小學全是英文，英文函接上是否一個考慮？在Kinder會否每日都有英文課？學校著重phonics還是spelling？
