請問小一中文科是否學期開始全用普通話上堂呢? 會否有普通話拼音班?  如有, 學校會要求學生要在多少時間內完全掌握全套普話拼音呢?  

請指教.

My son is doing P1 in school. To the best of my knowledge, his Chinese subject have been teaching in Mandarin since the 1st term started. I would suggest you'd better let your son learn the foundation before he starts his P1.

My son is in P.6 now (time flies...)
I can just tell you, YWPS' Chinese teachers (I would say, so far all teachers since these 6 years are with very high qualification.)are with high qualification and speak in FLUENT Putunghua.  I DID NOT let my son learn foundation before he entering YWPS.  At the beginning of his P.1, he really told me he couldn't understand what the teacher was saying.  However, GRADUALLY, in around November, he could handle it very well already. (no. 2 in whole form)
Regarding the Putunghua Phonics, teachers will teach the kids at the same time.
Have confidence with the school please.  You have chosen the right Primary School.

Chinese is taught in PTH.  There is pinyin lesson seperately.

My experience is students can catch up it very quickly.

其實大多數既小學已開始咗普教中, 小朋友好容易上手, 就算幼稚園未學過普通話, 最少半年佢哋已可以好流利了, 放心.

在授課方面，老師只用普通話，但如果有些特別或重要的事情要宣布或吩咐，老師會用廣東話講多一次。
其實我的小朋友在幼稚園階段都沒怎麼學過普通話，初時都有些擔心，但開學後發覺他跟得好好，所以小朋友上中文課都應該冇問題。而且課文都很淺易明白，老師說話是慢慢的，字正腔圓。請放心吧!
