基灣, 聖類斯 , 蘇浙 你會選邊間

如你住東區, 現有3間, 你點選:
1) 聖類斯: 優點: 英文小學, 有直屬中學, 升中壓力小,普通話教中文, 學生較純,  缺點: 太遠
2) 基灣: 紀錄中band1 90%, 學術方面好好, 但屬中文學校, 沒有普通話教中文, 較多考試, 沒有中學
3) 蘇浙:普通話環境, 英文也不差, 學術成績都OK.

現在請教建議, 請帮手 !

我都係住東區，我都揀梗基灣(愛蝶灣)、聖類斯、港大同學會。
- 基灣而家已經冇90% band one，不過升中仍然好好，考試唔算多(1測3考)。
- 上完聖類斯嘅小一導向課程，覺得間學校真係好好，但又真係好遠。
- 如果讀港同，我諗可以keep到好嘅親子關係(因為讀書、考試、升中壓力比較少)，但係仲有個細仔，又怕佢到時考唔到。

是的, 我仔讀完聖類斯小一導向課程, 我們都很喜歡間學校, 只是太遠, 6:30 就要搭校巴
基灣(愛蝶灣) , 成績好好.
真是很矛盾, 不知點選.

我會著眼於好成績 + 好校風, 如有以上兩點, 近家就更好.

至於有中學打底, 咁要看中學是否好好, 如果只是普通, 咁就唔多值.

去到中文英文問題, 好多名小學都是中文小學, 但這些小學讀得好的學生英文程度唔會比英文小學差.  好多時要看學校點教家長點幫.  講到普通話, 好少人為這個因素選校的, 小孩子識中文字, 要學好唔難, 何必為這個因素去選校呢...

如果我係你，我會選基灣，因細仔唔駛煩，但要視乎你大仔性格。基灣小二已分精英班，每人必定要學一種樂器，校風成績不俗。蘇浙似基灣，校風成績差不多，只是普通話較優勝，但我覺得普通話其實唔難學，以兩者相若的程度當然選津校。但如果你覺得大仔性格唔受得咁大壓力，就選聖類斯，因始終有中學back up，雖然中學並非好top，但進可攻退可守。

另請問基灣小一是否分班, 7月9日小朋友在入學有一個測試, 請問往年也是嗎, 是筆試還是...., 內容是中英數嗎.

基灣是幾谷的學校, 工課好多下, 一定要學一樣西樂, 綱琴不計.
因基灣音樂水平好高的, 年年學屆合唱組都有獎, 所以經常有練習, 做功課+練習時間會好緊迫. 如果小朋友適應, 做功課快就無問題.
音樂及視兿科要在呈分試時計分的.

If simply comparing three primary school, I would suggest to choose St. Louis.  Although 基灣 would have an overall better academic results, but the price is higher workload and pressure.  You will find a better balance in St. Louis, and also school culture and moral education with Catholic background.

However, judging from you getting 基灣 that means you are living in Net 16.  Then travel is a real concern.  If you are living a bit closer on west part of net 14, then the travel is still okay but East island side is really quite far.  If moving is possible, then St. Louis is a good choice.

Regarding St louis,  I like this school, however location is only my headache.

Concerning the transportation, have you queried the school is they can help to arrange?  I have heard they are even helping parents from Kowloon and N.T. side to arrange nanny buses so I think it should be no problems on HK side.

My daughter's kindergarden repeated P1 last year at SLS becuse he was very happy with the school & they lived in net 16.  Child wakes up earlier by himself every morning going to SLS but told his mom he was sick when he went to a school closer to home...so picking the right school for your child will be important if he had to repeat another year, unless "small child" otherwise....

聖類斯都有很多默書, 副校講過要keep住80分以上先可以原校升讀中學, 我聽朋友講話80分左右, 老師會打俾家長叫佢地跟下仔仔d成績; 佢都唔係一間輕鬆的學校.

仲有聖類斯都唔係一條龍, 中學係津校, 所以佢都要收街人ga.
